Long before the arrival of Christianity, the inhabitants of Vedic Russia knew very well about "life after death", that is, about the posthumous existence of the soul and "the other world" - the world in which the souls of the ancestors who have departed from us reside. The attitude to the death of the physical body corresponded to this. At the same time, it is earthly life that has always been considered temporary, in contrast to being in another reality "parallel" to our world, from which souls are embodied in physical bodies and where they return after the death of the physical body.
