This artifact showing a battle scene in which one defeats an enemy is incredibly detailed, and its size is only 3.5 centimeters.
This find was made back in 2015 in Pylos, modern Greece. The age of the burial dates back to 3,500 years ago, inside it rests the skeleton of a war - a man, about 35 years old. In addition to this unique stone of perfectly polished agate, several hundred semi-precious beads, gold jewelry, a bronze mirror with an ivory handle, four gold rings, a tablet depicting a griffin, and a sword were found in the tomb.
In total, 3000 elements were found and classified, which led to the conclusion about the nobility and wealth of the buried war.
It took about a year of painstaking work to completely free the artifact from lime deposits.

And after the stone was cleaned, a truly unique picture was revealed to the eyes of scientists. It captures the moment of a fierce battle. Moreover, the detailing is done at such a high level that you can see the hair and raised muscles of half-naked fighters. Such elaboration on images began to be actively used in ancient Greek art only a thousand years later, but this is not the most interesting thing.
The main feature is the size of these parts. They are so small that you have to look at the artifact through a microscope to see them. Therefore, how in ancient times they were able to perform such a work of art without the use of high-tech equipment is a big mystery.
