But all of these cinematic options have nothing to do with possible reality. No talented but "pushed" scientist, no super laboratory, no almighty Pentagon can stop what might actually happen. No one will even understand what happened. If the universe dies, then this end will take a moment.

Reasonable destruction

If a hundred years ago someone had suggested that with just one bomb it would be possible to wipe out a large city from the face of the earth, such a seer would have been laughed at at best. But several decades passed, and August 1945 came. And on the sixth, only one nuclear bomb turned Hiroshima into ruins.

This was the first meeting of humanity with such a destructive force. The concept soon emerged in academia. It was called "intelligent destruction." Proponents of the concept arguably prove that people will someday put an end to the existence of the universe. They will come up with such a weapon that will turn all these constellations, galaxies and everything else into nothing.

Fairy tales? Fruit of a sick imagination? Then such a fact. At present, the world has accumulated so many nuclear and thermonuclear charges to turn our planet into fragments. And this someone, at one fine moment, can simply stop the work of his computer, and then humanity will cease to exist, because the virtual universe will disappear.

There are many hypotheses that substantiate the existence of the universe. One of them proves that this existence is based on such constants as the mass of a proton and the speed of light. Provided that the meaning of any of them was different, our world simply would not exist.

Such a forecast, suggesting one of the options in which the universe will perish, is based on assumptions that the power of dark energy is increasing. It is increasingly separating galaxies, tearing apart that which binds objects. In the end, it will come to the point that the universe will simply turn into a suspension of the smallest particles, which are no longer able to further divide into components. One thing calms down - the earth, together with everyone who inhabits it, will cease to exist much earlier.
