Moreover, skeptics are not interested in what kind of dust can be in space and what kind of plasma can appear in a room devoid of its sources. The main thing for them is to “explain”. In the case of such a serious organization as the Pavlovsk State Museum-Reserve, forgery can be ruled out unambiguously.
The version of "plasmoids" is also ruled out, since we are talking about a museum, not a nuclear power plant.
Thus, skeptics can only speculate about “dust”, which is definitely not observed in the frame. But if this is not dust, not a plasmoid, and not a fake image, then what?
It is possible that the appearance of this sphere is directly related to the place of its materialization, which became the so-called Egyptian lobby:

“We are reviewing surveillance footage over the past month looking for similar phenomena; we are in contact with experts who could explain this phenomenon,”the staff write in the palace's microblog on Instagram.
It is possible that now they will find something else there. For example, the ghost of an angry Paul I, who wanders the palace with a bloody ashtray.
