There are no otherworldly forces in the Stavropol "Haunted House" - the developer is sure of this.
After the Stavropol Notebook article about the famous haunted house, the Ministry of Property Relations invited journalists to the building to explain what is happening now with the old castle with Gothic elements.
Now only the walls, the basement and the stairs leading to the second floor are left of it. It turned out that the previously dilapidated building belonged to the regional health ministry, and in 2015 it was transferred to the ministry. Then there was an open auction, the mysterious house was named an object of cultural significance and leased out at a reduced rate for 49 years.
- The floors were collapsing here, it was in a deplorable state, there was no fence, homeless people lived here who started a fire. The tenant within 49 years has to restore the house as it looked in 1914. According to the agreement, the tenant must fully restore the object in four years. Of course, the house cannot be sold or rebuilt into a residential building, - said Boris Borisov, director of the Stavropol Territory unitary enterprise "StavKrayImuschestvo".
At the same time, he confirmed the information of "Notebook Stavropol" that the original plan of the castle had not survived, but Borisov does not consider this a problem, because, according to him, only the facade is of value, and not the "filling" of the mansion from photographs. The rental price of the famous house is surprising - 9 thousand rubles a year. But at the same time, the reconstruction itself will cost the contractor 36 million rubles.
“It was scary to rent it, not because of some legends, but in terms of investing money and health,” said the contractor Vitaliy Silko. - We were doing something, and everything was crumbling around. Well, in other houses, too, they kill, what, you can't live there? Yes, I know that during the civil war, mountain officers from the Wild Division cut the throats of more than 30 wounded Red Army soldiers, but I think it is wrong to focus on this. People died, you can't make money on this! Everything was destroyed, we took out 64 KamAZ debris, poured the floor, strengthened the structures, turned on the electricity. Ahead is the construction of floors. I just wanted to restore the building.
After restoration, the house built for the daughter of the 1st guild merchant Ignatiy Volobuev will turn into a hotel complex with a restaurant on the ground floor. However, immediately after the construction, the house was rented out to the guests. So far, Strong cannot say how many rooms there will be, and their prices, because he has not yet decided for himself how the house will look from the inside: photographs and memories of the original layout have not been preserved. True, according to the developer, the restoration will cost not 36, but 32 million.
