There are many stories of people who, in an incomprehensible way, find themselves in another time. A similar incident occurred in 1901 with two Englishwomen. Anna Moberly and Eleanor Jordan, teachers, were at the royal castle of Versailles. Walking through the garden, we decided to walk to the chapel of Marie-Antoinette. Not knowing how to get there, they asked two park employees they met on the way. But they received no answer.

Later, the ladies realized that the employees were wearing 18th century clothes. The teachers continued on their way and ended up in the forest. Then they noticed a man in black sitting at the "Temple of Love", staring at them with an intently malicious gaze.

A young man appeared from behind the church and spoke to them in French, but in a dialect that they did not understand. With a polite gesture, the man invited them to walk to the wooden bridge leading to the “Trianon Castle”. There the teachers saw an attractive lady with an easel and tassels. As the teachers later described her, the lady was wearing a large hat, a bodice and a short white skirt. The lady, seeing the Englishwomen, was very frightened.

From the teachers' story, everything around was somehow not natural, leaves swayed on the lifeless trees, although there was no wind at all. The objects around did not cast shadows, there was an unnatural silence around.

But suddenly everything changed, the lady with the brushes disappeared. And ordinary people were walking around them in the park. For several years the women, they did not tell anyone about this unusual case. Later, having studied historical documents, they began to guess that this case was nothing more than a movement in time. The teachers published this story in 1911 in a small book. In it, the women came to the conclusion that while walking through the royal park, they were inexplicably transported to 1789. Those two, looking at their clothes, were Swiss guards, and the man in black was the Comte de Woodre.

The lady with the easel was probably the French queen herself, Marie Antoinette. As her dressmaker described the queen, Marie-Antoinette loved to walk in the park in a short white skirt and bodice. But one of the stories did not fit, nowhere in the documents was there a mention of a wooden bridge, and this inaccuracy served to distrust the teachers' story. But later, in an old house, or rather in a fireplace, a plan of royal park architecture was found, hidden during the French Revolution. On the plan was an image of a stream that flowed under a wooden bridge. But during the rebuilding of the park, both the stream and the bridge were removed. This is the bridge that time travelers saw.
