Time travel is a phenomenon that has attracted the best minds of mankind ever since we learned to count time. Many science fiction writers have written a huge number of works on this topic. A lot of scientific papers broke down before reaching their logical conclusion. However, people continue to dream that one day a person will learn to travel in time. But there are several limitations associated with time travel. And these limitations are called paradoxes. Let's take a look at some of them.
1. The murder of grandfather
Perhaps the most famous paradox. The time traveler returns to the period of his grandfather's life and, by some amazing coincidence of circumstances, influences the fact that his grandfather either will not be born, or will die without giving life to the traveler's father. But what happens then: the traveler does not exist, he does not return in time and does not start a chain of events, and here the circle closes. It turns out a singularity.
2. The butterfly effect
And this paradox is colorfully described in the work of Ray Bradbury "And Thunder Rocked". A situation in which the traveler, by his presence in the past, demolishes changes that can affect evolution. However, such events will lead to the paradox described earlier. Or they will create a situation where the traveler cannot return to his time because his time line will disappear.

3. You cannot travel to the future
Since time travel is possible, you can travel in both directions. But this is not the case. The future does not exist until it becomes present. And only the chain of events determines what this future will be. And from this it follows that, having gone to the past, the traveler will never be able to go back to his time, because in the past it does not exist yet.
4. The paradox of space
As you know, our planet is constantly moving in space. And its movement not only describes an orbit around the sun, but also moves with the sun along the orbit of a black hole located in the center of our galaxy. So our planet is moving in a spiral. This means that if a time traveler tries to travel back in time, he risks being in outer space. Due to the fact that the time machine moves only in time and not in space.
5. The age paradox
Even if time travel existed, we could not travel further in time than our own life. It is influenced by the fact that the body is not able, when moving in time, to remain unchanged. The body will change - aging or younger. So the mind of a time traveler can be in the head of a newborn or decrepit old man.
