Within the framework of the phenomenon of "close contacts of the third kind", there are two types of encounters: the appearance of entities associated with the observation of UFOs, and entities not associated with any object. Obviously, the former are the cause of serious research and analysis, while the descriptions of strange characters appearing in front of frightened eyewitnesses have been and remain very interesting when it comes to their assessment.
The case in question took place in Argentina on the island of Santiago on Sunday 20 January 2019, the night of the last lunar eclipse. A family from the city of La Plata, who followed the road to Ensenada, on the road that leads to the resort of Punta Lara, witnessed this strange phenomenon at night.
It is a natural wetland with a 200 meter wide channel surrounded by lush vegetation. Several kilometers of paved road after the bridge over the canal connecting the Rio de la Plata with the Regatas La Plata club leads to the so-called Zero zone, that is, to the epicenter of “close contact”.
The night of the "bloody moon" was clear, starry, with a light breeze. At about 9 p.m., 43-year-old Christian, his 33-year-old wife Mirta, their daughter, who was only thirty months old, as well as his 19-year-old stepdaughter and 12-year-old nephew arrived at the docks of the Naval Academy to observe with friends beyond the eclipse.
However, around midnight, the youngest girl became cold and decided to return home to La Plata. A few minutes later, driving along the flat asphalt road, Christian noticed something strange. A strange tall silhouette moved on the left side of the road, illuminated by the headlights of a car. A figure about two meters tall, shuddered and slowed down, then, with its back to the road, crossed to the other side and disappeared into the roadside foliage.
A few meters later, passing through the place where the creature allegedly disappeared, Christian did not see anything unusual and continued on his way, since his wife did not want to stop. The time was exactly 00:20 hours, Monday January 21st. All adult family members confirmed that they saw a tall gray humanoid whose head was "darker" than the rest of the body, and, interestingly, his arms were extended and tilted slightly forward along the body.
For several decades, strange tall creatures have been reported appearing in the southern regions of Santa Fe province. All of them were united by important details: appearance along roads or highways, always at night, detached behavior, complete indifference to eyewitnesses, and white or gray clothes.
Extremely interesting reports about what is happening in this area of the Buenos Aires River came not only from villagers, car drivers, but also from the side of fishermen, who are always "the elite nucleus of UFO reports."

For example, at dusk on March 19, 1974, in the vicinity of the tower known as La Cebolla, which is located about 3 kilometers in a straight line from the above-described "Zero Zone", Mrs. Encarnación del Valle Guerrero watched a mysterious and incredibly high luminous silhouette, dressed in a sky blue suit.
Olga Ch., Who currently lives in Spain, told about a night meeting in 1978: “At about 3 am my friends and I were returning from a party at Tio Marcelo and decided to sit on the Coastal Wall by the river. Everything was quiet. Suddenly, we saw a flying saucer emerging from the water, fully illuminated and making a loud noise. Night turned to day, and ships could be seen awaiting their turn at anchorage. The saucer hovered in the air for a few seconds, dimming its brightness, and then quickly flew to the nearest peak, Boca Serrada. She scared us. I will never forget this …"
On a warm night in 2007, Arturo F. was fishing in the Arroyo Largo area, a few hundred meters from the meeting place of Christian, and witnessed a very unusual phenomenon. According to him, "five luminous objects" several times dropped into and out of the water.
The fact that Greater Buenos Aires is an area of anomalous observation is confirmed by a cloudy, drizzling morning on July 20, 1965, when 38-year-old Ramon Pereira was delivering goods to the town of San Francisco Solano. Suddenly he noticed that some kind of "luminous parachute" was falling from the sky. This caught his attention and he decided to go and meet him. He walked several hundred meters, crossed the railway tracks, a stream and got to the territory of the former monastery of Monte de los Curas.
What fell from above was not a parachute; an oval-shaped object with a transparent dome, in which there was a man in a gray overalls and a hood, stood on the ground. Thirty meters away, there was another character in similar clothes, but with a hood pulled back. He had short blonde hair, about 2 meters in height, large binoculars hung around his neck, a holster on his right leg and a belt with a silver buckle. His shoes resembled leather boots. A completely "ordinary" person. Noticing the presence of an observer, the blond immediately ran to the ship and almost collided with Pereira, who asked: "Is something wrong?" The ship began to rise and disappeared into the sky. Despite the fact that local police were involved in the investigation of the case, no sign of the landing or any anomaly was found.
So were Christian and his family witnessing an alien presence in Monte Santiago? Perhaps … Believe or not believe their story? There are several other events that happened before and after the incident with Christian.
At about 10:30 pm on Sunday 20 January 2019 (one hour and fifty minutes prior to contact in the Zero Zone), residents of Villa Rubensito, an area bordering Santiago Island, witnessed the green object maneuvering for several minutes. The strange light in the sky had nothing to do with the transit of the ISS, Iridium, or other satellites.
At 02:01 am on Monday 21 January (an hour and a half after contact), a resident of the Barrio Los Ornos neighborhood in La Plata was shocked to see an object with green lights flying towards the Rio de la Plata. She took some photos with her Samsung J7 mobile phone as the eclipse reached its peak. At 02:30 on the same day, workers on duty at the Astilleros Rio Santiago shipyard watched for almost 30 minutes a green object flying towards Monte Santiago.
On Tuesday January 22, 2019 at 11:30 pm (48 hours after contact), a couple following in a car along the same road were startled to see a strange silhouette with glowing green eyes between the trees. It is possible that it was the same figure that appeared in front of Christian …
One thing is clear, the sequence of strange events taking place in the same geographical part of the river bank within 48 hours is not accidental. However, as long as researchers at the Foundation for Ovnologia Argentina (FAO) continue to investigate, questions remain completely open …
