State Duma Deputy Alexei Zhuravlev suggested that the abnormally warm winter in Russia happened because of the United States. That the Americans are testing our country with a climate weapon leading to irreparable climate change. The deputy expressed this hypothesis on the air of the radio station "Moscow speaking". How realistic is the existence of such a weapon? After all, rumors about its appearance and development have been circulating for more than half a century. And many researchers are even discovering the results of its use.

Hit by the weather

It should be noted that this is not the first time that State Duma Deputy Alexei Zhuravlev has accused the United States of a climate strike. In August last year, on the air of the 60 Minutes program, he blamed the Americans for the fact that fires broke out in Siberia due to the fault of climate weapons, and tropical showers fell on Moscow. And in 2017, State Duma deputy Yekaterina Lakhova accused the US climate weapon of undermining the Russian economy. Hurricanes, tornadoes, hail from a hen's egg - all this is sent by the Americans.

Meanwhile, the manipulation of the weather for the sake of winning the war in history really was. From 1967 to 1972, the Americans conducted an operation in Vietnam, which they named after the cartoon sailor Popeye. The Vietnamese guerrillas moved along the Ho Chi Minh trail hidden in the jungle, and the Americans could not reach them. However, during the rainy season, they sprayed several tons of silver iodide in the rain clouds.

This mixture caused heavy rains that eroded roads and communications under the area where climate weapons were used. However, despite such tricks, America did not succeed in winning the Vietnam War. And in 1977, the UN banned the use of the climate as a weapon. Since then, any open testing of climatic attack weapons has ceased.

Hidden threat

But 20 years have passed - and since 1997 they have started talking about climate weapons again. Construction of the HAARP complex has begun in Alaska. On an area of 13 hectares is a gigantic complex of 360 radio transmitters and 180 antennas, which together represent a huge microwave radiator. HAARP's official mission is to study the ionosphere and track the aurora borealis.

But many people don't believe in the fact that tens of billions of dollars have been spent on the northern lights. The complex is credited with the ability to turn off satellites, influence the minds of people and, of course, change the climate on the planet with the help of electromagnetic radiation. In particular, conspiracy theorists accuse HAARP of provoking the earthquake in Indonesia, which in 2004 claimed 200 lives.

Cold response

But Russia, according to the conspiracy theorists, is not sitting idle. And where the Americans have a terrible HAARP, our military has a Sura. The multifunctional radio complex is officially designed to study the ionosphere. It was built in the Nizhny Novgorod region. And much earlier than the Americans - back in 1963. Not much is known about him.

But in 2018, Russian and Chinese scientists on the Sura successfully conducted a series of experiments on changing the state of the atmosphere. Electrical surges were observed over an area of over 100 square kilometers. However, there is no more detailed information on that test. And it is also unknown whether the study was carried out for peaceful or military purposes.

American public figures do not lag behind Russian ones in their accusations - for example, the American scientist Scott Stevens accused Russia of creating the devastating Hurricane Katrina in 2005. And the CIA said that climate weapons from Russia caused anomalous frosts in the United States in 2015.

The most difficult thing about such accusations is that they cannot be confirmed or denied. Officially, no one conducts such research, and those that do are top secret. But, as you know, the more secret the development, the more interest it causes. Therefore, climate weapons will continue to excite the minds, remaining like Schrödinger's cat - both existing and non-existent in reality.
