Both the European Space Agency and NASA are uploading thousands of high quality images of Mars on their official websites. And thus they allow everyone to make an exciting journey to another planet. What many do. But they don't just look at landscapes. And they are looking for abnormal details in the photographs. For example, enthusiasts of extraterrestrial archeology saw rectangular structures resembling the remains of buildings and entire cities (see "Ancient ruins found on Mars?" KP dated 2007-27-04).
And the famous American photo-traveler and tireless seeker of traces of extraterrestrial life, Joseph Skipper, recently saw … heads in Martian photographs. Or skulls.
There were ostriches here
There are two suspicious pictures. There are three heads. Spirit took pictures of them in the Gusev crater. In the image that was transmitted on the 16th day of the robot's stay on the Red Planet, you can see two "skulls" at once - one is larger, the other is smaller
Of course, it is easy to call "skulls" simply bizarre stones. But Skipper sees something else: fossilized bones with eye sockets and protruding jaws or beaks. Some paleontologists and biologists agree with the researcher. They wished to remain anonymous. But they sent images in the subject - the fossil remains of a lizard that lived in the Jurassic period, and the skull of a modern cheetah. In fact, they have something in common with Skipper's "find".
The head in the foreground is the one that is smaller and with a long beak - as if from the fossil bird of Archeopteryx. But it resembles both ostrich and turkey at the same time.

By the way, next to the "skulls" are stones with rounded holes, suspiciously similar to vertebrae or hip remains. And all this was found on a relatively small patch on which the robot was driving. And you never know what can be scattered all over Mars? And if you also dig?
A humanoid skull peeps out of the sand
On day 513, Spirit photographed the Martian.
And who dares to say that an object with pronounced eye sockets, bridge of nose and brow ridges does not resemble a human head? Confused, however, are the growths in the lower part - approximately under the places where people should have ears. But who knows what the Martians were like? Suddenly, such here - muzzle humanoids.
Skipper is now hesitating between several hypotheses. In his opinion, the object can be both the skull of a real inhabitant of the Red Planet, and an alien who died there. Or is it a sculpture - either one or the other. Where is the torso? The researcher assumes that it is buried in the sand. And indicates a slight elevation in front of the "head". Like, the torso is covered with this mound.
If the finds are indeed fossils, how old could they be? Probably a lot. For example, the skull of a lizard, chosen for comparison, is more than 100 million years old. And well preserved. Recognizable.
Giant's face
The famous Martian "Face" (aka "Sphinx") has been seen by many. This is the most famous “monument” of the Red Planet, first photographed by the American Viking-1 in 1976. And the largest of those that enthusiasts rank among the traces of intelligent activity. The "Face" is about a kilometer across.
However, Joseph Skipper saw a larger monument - colossal in size. Compared to him, the Sphinx is just a baby. Take a look yourself at the image transmitted by the Mars Global Surveyor probe and posted on the official NASA website. It is as if the head of a giant is carved into the rocks. Its size is approximately 20 by 45 kilometers! The nose, eyebrows, cheekbones, eyes closed by the eyelids are visible. The rounded forehead shines in the sun. The Americans, by the way, for some reason made as many as 8 pictures of this huge head. As if they would like to make sure that she is there. Or looked at something in different lighting? The skipper points to a nearby rectangular object, calling it a "pictogram".
Any sane person will say: this is nothing more than a play of light and shadow - an illusion. But it's much more interesting to think that someone was on Mars. Or have been.

The revelations of former NASA employee Ken Johnston … At a recent press conference, he said that American astronauts had seen structures and equipment on the Moon by aliens. In the same place, Johnston revealed another "terrible secret of NASA": as if back in 1976 life was discovered on Mars.
The former employee's first statement is based on nothing but dubious pictures. The second is more fundamental, but equally controversial. After all, Johnston passed off as desirable only the assumptions of scientists.
These are soil samples taken with the Viking probe. During that 1976 expedition, researchers remotely heated and irrigated them with an aqueous nutrient solution. In theory, if there are microbes on Mars, then in response they would have to release waste products. But those crumbs that were released were considered by NASA to be the products of a chemical, not a biological reaction. And this has recently been challenged by two groups of scientists.
Professor Joop Houtkoper from the University of Hesse claims that the Martian bacteria contained hydrogen peroxide, which helps them survive in extremely low temperatures. And water vapor just killed this life.
Professor Rafael Navarro-Gonzalez of the University of Mexico, who in 1976, together with Christopher Mackay, led the Viking biological experiment, now believes that the primitive apparatus of the probe could not detect anything at all. He applied it to soil analysis from the dry valleys of Antarctica and the Atacama Desert. And found no life. It's full of germs, though. Their presence was revealed by modern technology.
Apparently, this "ringing" and heard Ken Johnston. But I understood it in my own way. In fact, the question "Is there life on Mars" is still open. And nobody hides the answer to it.
