Despite public concerns about the abnormally warm winter in Russia, such phenomena can be explained by natural causes and can in no way be the result of the use of climate weapons by any country in the world.

Doctor of physical and mathematical sciences, professor of NNSU named after N. I. Lobachevsky Savely Grach. According to him, State Duma Deputy Alexei Zhuravlev, expressing his assumptions about the use of climate weapons by the United States against Russia, most likely meant the HAARP stand, located in the state of Alaska, intended primarily for research in near-earth space.

Scientists are not to blame for the warm winter

“I worked at this stand. This is the High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program - a program for the study of ionospheric scattering of high-frequency radio waves … The stand is associated with studies of the interaction of high-power radio waves with the near-Earth environment. Our impact is weak enough. The fact is that if scientists even launch some kind of radiation, the largest in five to ten minutes everything will return to its previous state. The sun is much stronger than all of our experimental installations, which can affect anything. All our influences are very weak. Moreover, they are absolutely reversible,”explained Savely Hrach, adding that a long-term impact on the climate is currently impossible.

The professor said that the current capacity at the HAARP facility, and at the present time it is the largest in the world, is not enough to create any serious global disturbances.

What then do the installations do?

According to the expert, the studies of four stands that now exist in the world, and these are HAARP (USA), EISCAT (Norway), Sura (Russia, Nizhny Novgorod region), Arecibo (Puerto Rico, USA), are associated with powerful radio waves and their interaction with near-earth plasma.

The installations are engaged, in particular, in the transformation of the frequency of waves, it is possible to engage in measurements using the radiation of the conduction of the earth to search for minerals, the propagation of high-frequency and low-frequency radio waves over long distances.

He explained that it was during the Cold War that much of the radio wave was given serious attention. It was then that artificial auroras were detected. But we are talking about such a weak light that it can be observed only with the help of a special highly sensitive technique.

Nizhny Novgorod research

Back in 1972, the first Nizhny Novgorod stand, called "Yastreb", was launched. It was located near the village of Zimenki near Kstov. There, according to the professor, were carried out including secret work. In the 1980s, a much more powerful Sura stand (near Vasilsursk in the Nizhny Novgorod region) was launched, which, by the way, is sometimes linked by some Western journalists to issues of climate change. Now, with the help of "Sura", thunderstorms are being studied, research is still underway related to the propagation of waves and the physics of the interaction of waves with the near-earth plasma (ionospheric and magnetosphere).

One of the main needs, he is convinced, is the modernization of the Sura stand. This requires a lot of funds. Among other things, it is necessary to free the antenna field from a large number of trees that interfere with the operation of the equipment.

There is also a big problem with the arrival of young people "on the subject". It is necessary to staff the "Sura" with engineering personnel and scientific youth, previously there was a whole staff, but now only a few scientists of the older generation remain.

Now the teams of all four booths work in close cooperation. This cooperation took shape back in the 1990s. Researchers from Sweden, Germany and the USA came to the Sura stand to conduct research and debug the methodology of work at the HAARP stand. Scientists from Nizhniy Novgorod at the American stand use for general research the methodology they are developing here, they even bring their own equipment.

“In 2002, half of America was without electricity. This happened because there were coronal flares on Solonets. Their diagnosis is very important, because we do not know when these masses will arrive on the ground. "Blackout" in America was associated with a colossal magnetic storm that occurred in the magnetosphere, that is, due to the processes taking place on the Sun, some sensors could not withstand. In case this happens again, HAARP will help to avoid such large-scale consequences, "the scientist explained, adding that for his work in full force, research is also needed, which is being carried out here at Sura.
