Antarctica is a place of mysteries and secrets hidden under the ice. Recently, this continent haunts scientists and researchers, as more and more interesting things are found there. For example, mountains are pyramidal. These "pyramids" caused a lot of hype. Is this really the handiwork of man or did Mother Nature try? Let's figure it out together.
So, to begin with, these mountain ranges really look like the pyramids in Egypt. They have the correct pyramidal shape, which is clearly visible in the picture.
Researchers from universities in Europe and the United States started talking about them back in mid-2013. Their names and surnames were kept secret, as they allegedly planned an expedition to Antarctica, which would allow a more thorough study of these pyramids. But it never happened.
Photos and a short video were the only evidence that these are man-made pyramids, but as it turned out, they were provided by a group of scientists from the UK. The video displayed their logo. One of the authors of this news was Stephen Hannard. He became known for revealing false "facts" of the existence of aliens.
It also turned out to be with the pyramids. In fact, these are just mountains of a pyramidal shape, which were shot from different angles. As geologists explain, they were formed in the process of denudation, that is, the mountains consist of several types of minerals, and due to natural phenomena (rain, snow, wind), minerals with a lower density are weathered, washed out, and solid minerals acquire pointed forms due to low temperature and few winds.
It is for this reason that we can observe such natural pyramids not only in Antarctica, but also, for example, in China.
