As soon as you mention this place in a conversation with the indigenous people of Catalonia, their hospitality and friendliness disappear, as if by magic. They withdraw into themselves and do not want to make contact in the future. What is so unusual, mysterious and "scary" in this beautiful, virgin area? It is rather difficult to find information even on the “all-knowing Internet”.
La Mussara is located in the famous province of Tarragona. To get to this area, it is enough to go around the town of Reus on the T-11 road and then turn onto the T-704 road. As soon as you drive along this road for no more than a kilometer, you will see a fascinating and mysterious sight - the legendary fogs of La Mussara. They cover the tops of picturesque mountains and move from place to place only according to their own laws. Modern science is unable to explain how they arise, what facilitates their movement. Now you are looking at the top of the mountain, and in a moment, out of nowhere, the veil that has come from is hiding it from your sight. While you are trying to recover from what you saw, right there, as if a mighty, invisible hand in the blink of an eye transfers the fog to another place. The spectacle is mystical, at the moment the fogs move inside, a feeling of anxiety and fear grows.
The mists of La Moussara are very ill-famed. Inhabitants of the surrounding towns tell numerous stories about travelers who fell into these fogs. Many of them have never been found. Those who are lucky enough to get out of the fog swear that they tried to get out of unfamiliar terrain for many hours, although they were in the fog for only a few minutes. And vice versa, it seems to the missing tourist that he spent only a few minutes in the fog, although his comrades searched for the missing person during the day.
La Mussara was abandoned by the residents. It is impossible to give an explanation for their disappearance, because where they left is still a mystery. Wandering among the destroyed houses, you can see strange signs on the surviving walls. Many tourists hear voices whose origins cannot be explained.
