The problem of "children and television" worries everyone: parents, teachers, and doctors. Today, for almost every child, television has become something of a toy or a book. Telecommunication forms the soul and mind of the child, brings up his tastes and views on the world. The inner world is just taking shape, and everything that they receive from adults plays a significant role in its formation: games, fairy tales, joint activities, including television programs. They are not only a way of spending time, but also a means of education. For children in preschool age, cartoons are mainly a means of education. When a child watches cartoons, it is as if he is disconnected from everything that surrounds him. Does not respond to the normal sounding of speech, and after watching cartoons or TV series, it is not childish aggression that wakes up in a small child, but sometimes fears.

Not all cartoons are useful and contain important experiences and images for the child. Many modern cartoons broadcast on TV can have a bad effect on the development of a child, form in him a tendency to aggression, to addictions. Therefore, it is very important to prevent children from uncontrolled viewing animation products. At an early age of up to three years, the child should not be seated in front of the TV; at this age, the basic functions of movement have not yet been formed in children. He cannot simultaneously hold objects, move, look and hear. Therefore, when you turn on the TV, they are loaded into watching cartoons and are not distracted by extraneous noise, do not move.

Subsequently, such children develop problems with movement, speech, vision and being overweight. Children's development can be severely retarded.

It is better for children over three years old to be allowed to watch cartoons selectively and strictly determining the time. In Soviet times, all cartoons were broadcast only after passing strict control, each frame was checked in terms of its impact on the child. No one will deny that such Soviet cartoons about Carlson, about crocodile Gena and Cheburashka, about Uncle Stepa the giant, about Uncle Fyodor, about heroes from Prostokvashino and others were and remain comfortable for the child's psyche, teach them beautiful and kind.

However, many parents today consider these cartoons too primitive and outdated. Today, children mostly like to watch modern cartoons, which are often made quickly and cheaply, without considering the possibility of harmful effects on the child. Therefore, many children watch animation products in which cruelty coexists with bad taste, and the heroes of many cartoons are faceless creatures that are devoid of any individuality. Experts are sure that some cartoons affect the child's speech and his plasticity, under the influence of them, the child creates incorrect ideas about the value system and the world, they come up with appropriate games.

Today experts from all over the world are thinking about the problem of the influence of "wrong cartoons" on the development of the psyche of children. Psychologists advise parents to carefully select cartoons for their kids and, if possible, watch them with their children, observing their reactions. Three high-profile scandals of recent years prove the negative impact of cartoons on children:

The parents filed a lawsuit against the Russian channel for broadcasting The Simpsons and Family Guy cartoons, claiming that they are harmful to children's health. Psychologists also protested against watching cartoons on the 2x2 channel, they believe that these cartoons corrupt children and are harmful to watch even in adolescence.

In Japan, after watching the 38th episode of the cartoon "Pokemon", more than five hundred children were hospitalized with symptoms of epilepsy.

Former producer of the famous Teletubbies cartoon, Sarah Graham, admitted that the program was invented under the influence of hallucinogens.

Watching cartoons where aggression is clearly expressed is possible only if it is presented in a funny way. For example, the well-known cartoon "Tom and Jerry". The cat chases the mouse for many episodes, aggression is manifested on the part of both heroes. One puts the other on a cactus, hits with a frying pan, puts on a mousetrap and punches into the wall. But in the end, goodness wins and no one dies, and this is very important for a child. The main characters of the cartoon cat and mouse are essentially kind and cute animals, they do not use obscene and slang expressions.

But it is quite another matter in the cartoons "Madagascar", "Ice Age", "Cars" and others, although there also good triumphs over evil, but expressions that are not very pleasant even to the hearing of an adult are constantly slipping through. Such expressions and behavior of cartoon characters are remembered by a child at the speed of light and children themselves begin to copy them.

American cartoon only looks like a very harmless craft. The world, the background on which the events of the cartoon take place, lies hopelessly in evil. And only grains of good in the form of some ninja turtles are trying to fight evil. And evil, as a rule, is destroyed physically, which is absolutely not customary for our way of acting in fairy tales, where they tried to fight evil in other ways: they tried to outwit or persuade him.

The wonderful Walt Disney animated films like Snow White, Bambi, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King have a good start. But these films are not broadcast on television. And children most often watch not very high-quality products about mechanical monsters, vampires, ghosts and omnipotent robots. In almost all of these cartoons, the plots contain conflict, fight, battle, shootout, murder, that is, elements of aggressive behavior and violence. And almost all children are literally captured by animation, and they often refuse to play - just to sit in front of the TV.

The child perceives almost all information in the form of images, from which his model of the world is then built. One of the most important images is the female image. Looking at the stereotypes of cartoon heroines, girls absorb the peculiarities of female behavior, and the boy subconsciously forms the ideal of a woman, which he will then look for. And the criterion is not so much the appearance as the behavior of the cartoon characters. The behavior of most multi-heroines is designed in such a way that, when systematically viewed, it leads to the fading of the desire to continue the race in the future. The image of a woman, previously endowed with romance and mystery, is colored with realism, physiology and cruelty. Along the way, they ridicule the qualities previously traditional for Russian women, which are glorified by Soviet old good tales - such as chastity, shyness, selflessness, modesty, and motherhood as such. You can also clearly track disrespect, cynicism, and sometimes cruelty among the characters of some cartoons towards their family, parents, brothers, sisters. In many cartoons, they are endowed with the main, positive hero. And imperceptibly these vices are absorbed by the child's consciousness, since positive heroes need to be imitated. Many heroines fight with taste, demonstrating that they are right. And often the cartoon heroine is not only endowed with the qualities of a male, but also behaves like a superman. This is especially pronounced in fantastic cartoons. And imperceptibly these vices are absorbed by the child's consciousness, since positive heroes need to be imitated. Parents must understand that not a single cartoon, even the most instructive, can replace a child's communication with adults. Children need to feel the love of their parents, their attention and presence. You need to find time for a child, even if it will not be so much. If this does not happen, you should not be surprised that the children began to joke inappropriately, laugh hysterically and began to beat, pinch other people, imitating the cartoon hero they adore.
