A unique figurine was discovered at the excavations of the Bosporus city in Kerch.
On the Crimean peninsula, the ancient city of Tyritaka, located in the southern part of modern Kerch, has been carefully studied for several years.

- This year, work was carried out on two sites of the ancient city, - the press service of the KFU named after IN AND. Vernadsky. - At excavation XXVIII, archaeologists examined the northern fortress wall of the ancient city.
A serious defensive structure was built in the second half of the 4th - early 3rd centuries. BC.
In the 1st century. AD the fortress wall was seriously reconstructed and, in addition, reinforced with an anti-ram belt made of large rusticated blocks.

This summer, archaeologists have been exploring the area south of the city wall.

It is noteworthy that for the first time in more than 200-year history of archaeological research on the lands of the Bosporus kingdom, such a well-preserved bone product was found.
