A huge number of articles, films and videos about life on other planets, catastrophes on Earth, continents that existed before, immortality, the coming apocalypse and much more are offered to the attention of readers and television viewers. It is very difficult for an unprepared person not to get lost in an avalanche of this information, especially since many articles and films sin with "universal coverage". In addition, they often cause rejection among the reader and viewer of the prepared, because in such films and articles there are too many "revelations from above" and too few facts, or these facts contradict what scientists know.
You don't have to go far for examples. The favorite themes of many publications and films are the worldwide catastrophe, the great flood, nuclear wars of the past, which for some reason always happened several thousand years ago, at the latest - 12 thousand years ago. What can you not read and see in them!
During this short (in geological terms) period of time, Atlantis, Hyperborea (and here), Lemuria, Pacifida and other ancient continents plunged into the abyss. Nuclear wars took place on Earth, and its surface was hidden under giant waves of floods (and here). A person lost immortality, and then longevity, etc. etc. Sometimes - more, you just wonder. It turns out that the Earth 4 or 12 thousand years ago collided with some mythical planet (Nibiru, Phaeton, Nemesis, etc.) or itself, being a fragment of Phaeton, moved to its modern orbit almost from the orbit of Jupiter. And that's not all - then the Moon hit the earth well (here too) to take its present position near it and shine with a silvery light in the night sky, and aliens visited our planet - from Sirius, Orion, Phaeton and Mars.
And all this should have been done in 12 thousand years! A man lives at an amazing time. How many events fell on his poor head. Reading and watching such materials, it is difficult to perceive them differently than science fiction, which aims to cheer a little or, on the contrary, intimidate (depending on who has what predisposition) the reader and viewer tired of the hardships of life and everyday worries. And most of the time it can be done As well as another - to undermine the barely nascent faith in alternative theories of the development of the Earth and humanity from serious, thinking researchers.
After all, any student who has studied geology in the slightest degree, and even more so an experienced geologist, knows that nothing like this has happened on Earth over the past 12 thousand years. And what, one wonders, to say about global catastrophes and destruction of worlds 3 or 4 thousand years ago? Yes, there have been earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis - but they were all the same, or slightly larger in scale, than they are happening now. The maximum they were capable of was to destroy a city, devastate some small area of the Earth's surface. But in order to "sweep off the face of the Earth" the whole continent (Atlantis, Hyperborea (and here), Lemuria, Pacifida), which, moreover, did not exist then - these are already unsubstantiated speculations.
I wrote in my works "The Seventh Continent - Hyperborea", "Where was and what did Hyperborea look like?", "Atlantis, Hyperborea, Lemuria, Mu - continents, long known to geologists" and others that Hyperborea and Lemuria existed on Earth in the Mesozoic and the beginning of the Paleogene period. Hyperborea was nothing more than the supercontinent Laurasia, well known to geologists, stretching from North America through the Arctic to the place that later became known as Tibet, and Lemuria - Hindustan. In the Paleogene Hyperborea - Laurasia "lost" North America, Northern Europe and Asia, and its remaining Arctic part decreased from the Eocene (58-55 Ma) to the middle of the Neogene (16 Ma) by as much as 4 times. Lemuria - Hindustan at the end of the Eocene (40 million years ago) collided with the outskirts of Eurasia and ceased to exist as an independent continent.
As for Atlantis, it could well be South America. Atlantis could also be some kind of land area of the ancient Tethys Ocean, which ceased to exist at the end of the Paleogene-early Neogene (25-20 million years ago).
The examples given are quite enough to show the extremely weak argumentation of many materials and conclusions offered to readers and viewers. And once again to note the need to approach the solution of most of the problems of natural science, especially those concerning the structure and development of the Earth and life on it, in a comprehensive manner, from the standpoint of specialists from different fields of knowledge - geologists, historians, folklorists (and here). Based on the above, we can conclude that the main mistake of most researchers of the Unknown and the authors of films on the Secrets of Ancient Civilizations is poor knowledge of certain scientific disciplines (usually geology). This leads to fatal errors and the creation of countless hypotheses that contradict scientific data, and sometimes even common sense. Most of the erroneous hypotheses, one way or another, are associated with Hyperborea, Atlantis, Lemuria, Pacifis, a global catastrophe, a global flood, the loss of immortality and longevity by people. To be more precise, with the time of existence of these continents and the dating of these events.
To be honest, I still do not understand on the basis of what data the time of the worldwide catastrophe, flood and destruction of Atlantis or Hyperborea dates back 3, 4 or 5 thousand years ago. Based on the fact that then a volcano erupted or an earthquake occurred? But, as I wrote above, volcanoes erupted, and earthquakes occurred much later. Some of the most powerful volcanic eruptions in human history are the volcanic eruptions of Santorini in 1645 BC - 1500 BC, Tambor in 1815 and Krakatoa in 1883. During the eruption of Tambora volcano in 1815, the volume of ejected pyroclastic material was 150-180 cubic kilometers. The death toll has reached 71,000 people (during the eruption of the Krakatau volcano - about 38 people, mainly from a tsunami up to 30 m high).
For comparison: during the eruption of the Columbian trap belt in the United States about 16 million years ago (at the turn of the Fourth and Fifth world eras of the Aztecs), 170,000 cubic kilometers of basalts were poured out almost overnight.
During the strongest earthquakes in the history of mankind in Tangshan and Gansu and Shaanxi (China) in 1976 and 1556, respectively, more than 650 thousand and more than 830 thousand people died. But none of such events led to the worldwide scale of destruction described in the legends.
Another thing is dating 12 thousand years ago. Then there really was a catastrophe of a worldwide scale, accompanied by a displacement of the earth's axis, a flood, redistribution of the contour of glaciers, the death of mammoths, woolly rhinoceroses, megateria, glyptodonts and other animals, and the exodus of peoples from the north. But even that catastrophe did not lead to a significant restructuring of the contours of the oceans and continents. The world before her and after her looked about the same. And before and after the catastrophe 12 thousand years ago, neither Atlantis nor Hyperborea (although the coastal part of the Arctic was dry land), nor Lemuria existed. Its consequences were also far from the consequences of the catastrophes described in the legends. This means that in the legends of the majority of peoples living on Earth, echoes of knowledge about much earlier events that took place on our planet millions of years ago have been preserved. Then, in fact, all the continents mentioned above existed and the strongest catastrophes occurred, during which the oceans were "closed" and the highest mountain systems grew - or, to quote the words often found in legends, "continents and oceans changed places." The time of such disasters is well known to geologists.
Well, now I will return to where I began my narration: "The reader and the viewer of the prepared, many articles and films are rejected because they contain very few facts, or these facts contradict what scientists have known for a long time."
The time of existence of Hyperborea (Laurasia), Lemuria (Hindustan), Atlantis (South America or the ancient continent of the Tethys Ocean), the time of disasters that reshaped the world can be found in many books, scientific articles and textbooks on geology. So why “reinvent the wheel” and relate these events to the modern era (the last 12 thousand years belong to the Holocene). Why design your research in such a way that the conclusions it draws contradict scientific evidence? Why bring these erroneous conclusions to a multimillion audience?
