On planet Earth, there have been and still are mysterious peoples and ethnic groups who possess such knowledge that the rest of mankind is at least surprised. It is to such a mysterious ethnic group that the small African Dogon tribe can be attributed.
Their main feature is that they appear literally from scratch with all their knowledge, live for a long time, and then also suddenly disappear.
If such civilizations as the Maya or the Sumerians perished long ago, and the Dogon tribe exists to this day.
Scientists still cannot unequivocally answer where they came from. Some argue that this is a branch of the ancient Egyptian civilization, but most say the following, that the Dogons simply arose out of nowhere.
The population of the tribe barely reaches 200,000, and geographically they live in the Niger Delta, as well as on the Bandiagara plateau, which is located near Mount Gomburi. And their life is extremely primitive. Extreme inaccessibility for the rest of the world provided a unique way and rituals of their ancestors.
This tribe was discovered by anthropologists in 1931, and after that not only ethnographers, but also astronomers of the whole world became interested in them. Scientists M. Griol and J. Dieterlin lived for about 10 years among the tribe. And all this time they studied their traditions and wrote down all existing traditions and legends.
Then the scientists published their work, and they, in turn, became interested in the astronomer McGree, who was simply amazed. In the recorded legends and sketched drawings, he saw the first and second stars of the Sirius system.

According to archaeological traces, the Dogon appeared on the Bandiagara plateau at the dawn of the 13th century AD. This conclusion was made by scientists after analyzing the cave, in which drawings were found at least 700 years old.
In the cave, such images were found, in which our Sun and Sirius are connected by a straight line, but this figure would not be so interesting for astronomers if it had not captured Sirius B with an orbit.
These figures very clearly indicate the location of Po Tolo-Sirius V. (opened in 1968). Also in their legends, the exact period of rotation of this star is indicated, which is 50 Earth years.
And the Dagons also know that the second star consists of the heaviest and densest matter in the universe.
But how did such a primitive and narrow-minded tribe acquire such detailed information about space, which modern humanity received only in the middle of the 20th century?
The above figure generally shocked the entire scientific community. For a long time, scientists could not understand what it meant until a computer model showed the orbits of Sirius A and Sirius B in the time interval from 1912 to 1990.
It is striking that this knowledge is simply impossible to obtain without special astronomical equipment.

The Dogon claimed that Sirius had two brothers. Astronomers considered this fact unreliable, since all observations indicated that this is a binary star system. But this was true until 1970. It was then that the discovery of the third star was made, which was named Sirius C. Thus, another legend of the tribe was confirmed. What amazed the scientific community even more.
All these legends were also recorded in the sacred cave. But the shamans also told that there is another cave, in which, in addition to drawings, tools are kept, donated to the tribe by the Nommo himself (the Deity that flew from Sirius and gave the tribe all the knowledge). Despite all the persuasions and promises of the explorers, the Dogons keep the location of the second cave a secret.
In addition to their astounding knowledge of astronomy, the Dogon have a vast knowledge of molecular biomechanics, nuclear physics, and other disciplines. This knowledge is amazing, since it does not bring any daily benefit to the tribe, but is simply an educational knowledge.
One gets the feeling that this tribe is a living library created by unknown aliens for purposes unknown to us.
