This aircraft is capable of moving through space, atmosphere or water at high speeds like a rock, sliding endlessly over a layer of ice with almost no friction.

The patent was filed on December 20, 2004, but only now made public. Notably, the patent was published just a day after the US Navy said it would develop new guidelines for pilots observing UFOs.

The "patent" describes a spacecraft as "having a triangular hull" that has a "horizontal electric field." However, not everyone agreed with the existence of the patent. Skeptics think the patent is a fake.
However, the US Navy has indeed filed a patent, viewable on Google Patents, for an aircraft that can travel at "extreme speeds" using "an inertial mass reduction device comprising resonant cavity inner walls, an outer resonance cavity, and microwave radiators."
Inertia is the tendency of an object to resist any changes in its state of motion, or, more simply, the tendency of an object to continue whatever it is doing, whether it is stationary or continues to move in a straight line forward. Inertial mass is a measure of an object's resistance to acceleration. Thus, if the object's inertial mass could be reduced, less effort would be required to create the same acceleration.

As stated in the patent, the purpose of this apparatus is to reduce inertial mass by using high frequency electromagnetic oscillations to create a localized vacuum around the outer wall of the resonant cavity. This will allow the ship to glide in almost any environment with little or no friction.
Sure, this sounds impressive, but reducing inertial mass is not easy. And today there is no officially confirmed data that someone managed to do this.
However, conspiracy theorists believe that the answer to the question of where the United States got such technology should be found on the dusty old Roswell ranch in the New Mexico desert, where in 1947 an alien spacecraft allegedly made an emergency landing, whose existence is denied by the authorities.
