This was reported by a study that included more than 2,000 people aged 25 to 34 years. Among the household chores that they cannot complete without consulting Google, there were also the simplest. So, millennials will not be able to glue the wallpaper without prompting, fix the leak in the battery, strengthen the loosened cabinet, tighten the bolts and change the light bulb. 87% of the respondents said that before doing such things, they will turn to Google or social networks - Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn.

“We know that the Internet is a powerful tool for business, and we decided to find out how useful it is for solving problems outside of business,” said Nick Silverwood, CEO of Plusnet, a UK company that conducted the study. Its results were surprising: as it turned out, the Internet for the generation of millennials has become indispensable not only at work, but also at home. At the same time, about a third of the respondents will use it to search for instructions in any homework, since they are not sure of their ability to complete it, and about a quarter will search through the network for those who will cope with the task better. At the same time, about 20% assessed their ability to do household chores as “good”, and only 13% admitted that their skills were “very low”.

10% of survey participants admitted that they would resort to help because of a lack of patience, 14% - because they do not have time to do household chores. 40% will turn to their father for help, 16% - to their brother or mother. 41% would prefer to hire a dedicated person to solve the problem. 25% admit that they would prefer to pay rather than do at least something at home. Many millennials admit that they live with a burned out light bulb for a month or more, and only then change it - not by themselves, but by someone else's forces. In total, British millennials spend £ 320 a year on technical services. 15%, inviting masters, are guided by low prices, and 25% - on reviews on the Internet. About a third will abandon the sulug of a specialist or company because of the “cheap website, 40% will not call the master if his website is down.

When asked what kind of specialists they call most regularly, 37% named a locksmith, 42% - an electrician. 11% regularly use a blinds specialist and 17% a decorator.
