This whole mysterious story began back in 1949, when, during geological exploration of the northern tip of the Irkutsk region, an extremely strange hill with regular truncated shapes was discovered. Due to the location of the object on a slope, its height relative to the ground varied from 15 to 80 meters. The diameter of the object was 150 meters.
This object received the name Patomsky crater, and the nomadic tribes of the Yakuts called this fragment of the past - "Eagle's Nest" and considered it an extremely dead and dangerous place.
After that, this "miracle" was forgotten for a long 50 years. And only in 2005 a full-fledged research expedition was organized in this area.
The first working hypothesis of the origin of this crater was a one-of-a-kind natural underground explosion of uranium deposits. But the analysis of the content of radioactive ores showed that they simply do not exist in this place.
In the future, two theories were taken into development: volcanic and meteorite. But even these two theories were far-fetched, since during the first analysis of the rock, a check was made for the presence of meteorite matter. They were not found in the samples.
And regarding the volcanoes, the following conclusion was given: this area was recognized as volcanically inactive.

The age analysis of the formation was also carried out with the help of cuts of nearby trees. So it was established that the crater was formed 260 years ago. But when counting the annual rings, a strange anomaly was noticed.
The annual rings have been unnaturally enlarged for 40 years after the formation of the "Eagle's Nest". Such a phenomenon was noticed only in the Chernobyl forest, where there is an extremely high background radiation.

Research with the help of special geo-reconnaissance equipment showed the presence of an object located at a depth of about 150 meters, just in the center of the formation with a high metal content.
In addition, in parallel, in the field laboratory, a study of these discarded rocks was carried out. And literally in the sixth sample, silver plates of irregular shape were found, which strongly resembled artificial parts of an unknown mechanism. Also in these samples were found: 101 balls of magnetine with diameters from half a micron to one tenth of a millimeter, a hollow sphere with a diameter of 0.11 mm, metal balls with diameters from 60 to 80 microns.
The Patomsky crater is a trail of the fall of an unknown apparatus that crashed into the earth 260 years ago, while it did not collapse, but remained intact at a depth of 150 meters. Immediately after the fall, there was an increased background radiation in this area, which lasted for about 40 years. Also in the first years after the fall there were three underground explosions, which formed such a bizarre "nest" shape.
What is it? An aircraft of an unknown race or a unique miracle of the Universe is unknown. Only excavation and further extraction of the object from the depth can finally answer these questions. But, unfortunately, these events are not planned for the coming years.
