We are accustomed to trusting everything that "official science" tells us, the mouthpiece of which is trusted sources. Scientific sites on the Internet, television channels - some deny, others confirm established and proven truths for years.

Thought, as usual, was born out of nowhere. Late in the evening, my husband and I sat by a fire on the river bank, admiring the bright, low and so close August stars. On the horizon, Mars smoldered like a bright coal, and the Big Dipper drew water from the river with a ladle.

While we were sitting on the shore, Mars was slowly moving across the sky.

And then suddenly I thought, what if all our knowledge of how the world works is actually wrong ?! What gave rise to such thoughts, I do not know, maybe the silence that stood around, maybe the stars flying from the sky awakened such strange fantasies on a scientific topic.

From school we know that the Earth is round and, together with other planets, revolves around the Sun. So spoke Galileo Galilei, so Copernicus and others like him pundits said. For this they were persecuted, burned at the stake and anathematized. And we also know these facts exclusively from official sources - textbooks, for example.

No, do not rush to construct a foil hat for me, or call the appropriate doctors. Let's just fantasize, digress from the official sayings of pundits, put aside smart books, just reflect on the topic "what if the world is not what we imagine it to be."

Again, I am not an official member of the circle of catching reptilians among us, a member of the order of the Cthulhu witnesses, or a community for the advancement of the theory of a flat earth. I am an ordinary person who sometimes asks strange questions.

Well, for example, I asked my husband why, before and after the Americans, no one flew to the moon? Discarding various, again, "reliable" evidence that they were not born there. Let's take as a basis the theory that they were there!

Promotional video:

As a humanitarian, I have a few questions for enlightened minds. First and foremost, why, given the modern development of science and technology, is no one going to fly there anymore? After all, for our country both then and now it would be a matter of honor! Why not hoist another flag there, next to the stars and stripes? This is the main question. Second, minor, but no less important: how did they get out of there? Well, how pushed back, roughly speaking. May scientists forgive my ignorance!

And, finally, the third question: why are our and American astronauts still not flying beyond the ISS? It would seem as easy as shelling pears. With the modern development of technology, why is it easier to fly to the moon. But no, only drones, only robots.

Supporters of Spielberg's participation in large-scale staged filming will say: that's why they don't fly, because there were no Americans on the moon. But, again, I am considering the option that they went there.

The husband, oddly enough, got involved in a meaningless philosophical conversation and noticed that there was another theory. Like, the Americans had a "phenomenon" there. Someone or something strongly advised the earthlings not to pry into the satellite's territory anymore. Since then, neither we, nor our competitors, have thought more about flying to the moon.

But this is nonsense, a man raised in astronomy textbooks reasonably raised his head in me, whose reference book was The Great Dictionary of the Atheist.

Nonsense, not nonsense, but where did you get the idea that the information that is passed off as the truth is really the truth? - noticed the husband. And then I seriously thought. But really - we, ordinary people, will never be able to test any of the theories. Not about whether there were competitors on the Moon, nor about whether the Earth really is, flat or round. What is the truth that we know from school? Is it really as infallible as we are led to believe. There are more and more supporters of the flat planet theory. They are looked at as if they were crazy, twisted a finger to their temples, mocked at a naive, primitive faith. But how do we, adherents of the round Earth, differ from our “flat” opponents? Yes, nothing! Our knowledge is as dubious as their claims. We take at our word everything that is poured into our ears every day from our flat screens. We believe the news, even the most surprising and dubious.

What if our Earth is a big flat plate, like a pie, covered with a transparent dome on top, huh? I or you cannot verify whether it is true or not. I or you haven't seen it with my own eyes from Space from the ISS. Everything that we know about the structure of this world has been received from intermediaries, second-hand, if you will. What if in this world only a couple of people have reliable information about how it works? Have you ever thought about it? And yes, I am not a supporter of "conspiracy theory" either. But sometimes such thoughts arise: what if this whole world is just a brilliant beautiful decoration? What happens if you look behind the scenes of the universe? What is there, and is this horizon such an imaginary line? Maybe if you set a goal, then you can reach the edge of the Earth!

No, I'm not crazy, moreover, I am an atheist. I do not believe in the existence of an immortal soul or its transmigration from body to body. I don't fly to the astral plane and so on. But thoughts about the seamy side of reality are often visited lately. Either age evokes such reasoning, or the imperfection of the surrounding world affects. Or maybe it's an inquisitive mind trying to find clues and inconsistencies in the general concept of the world order. Though I am an atheist, I somehow do not really believe in Darwin's theory, although I deny the divine origin of man.

And yes, you know, I'm more and more inclined to believe that reptilians actually exist. Sometimes you look into the honest eyes of a Man, and suddenly for a hundredth of a second something from a lizard flashes through him. Remember how Schwartz's? "Mr. Dragon has lived among people for so long that he has long learned to take on a human form." It was written for a reason, oh, not without reason! And who is a dragon - he is the same lizard, reptilian in other words. So, think, maybe it is not round, and does not spin at all.
