The city itself is definitely amazing. An unknown civilization made the main masonry at the highest level without any mortar, adjusting the blocks down to millimeters.
The blocks themselves are for the most part also at a high level of processing, although in Ollantaytambo there are still separately processed megaliths, the issues of transportation and processing of which are of interest.
And now, it's worth moving on to some footprints in the rocks near Ollantaytambo, which, it seems to me, can only be explained by the existence of some kind of high technology.
Right in Ollantaytambo, you can see traces of how an unknown technology or some kind of technique from the past, carved whole pieces of rock in the rocks.
And this was done at the right angle and with utmost precision. You can see how smooth the walls remained after cutting out one of these pieces.
It is difficult to answer what kind of technology allowed to do this, but I somehow doubt that these were primitive tools of ancient people. At the very least, it is difficult to explain the fact that everywhere in such places where a piece of rock was cut out, the surface is smooth enough, as if it had been sanded.

Interestingly enough, in several of the images you can see strange, square "columns" protruding from the wall. It is difficult to answer whether these “columns” were made initially, or whether it was the work of ancient people who later came to the place, but such “columns” are often encountered, especially in Peru.
It is also worth noting, no less strange traces, as if some kind of exposure to high temperatures, where you can see charred fragments. And in some cases, the stone was already beginning to melt.
I do not know what kind of technology they cut out pieces in the rock and at the same time heated the stone very strongly, up to melting, but it is likely that these are different technologies and this was done for different purposes.
In any case, there are a lot of such traces. There are not so many versions of how ancient people did this, it is either some kind of large technique, or something like a laser cutter.
One way or another, a hammer and a chisel could not afford to do this, but the technology is approximately at the current level or even higher, quite.
In the end, it should be said that some square or rectangular fragments were carved into the rock as if something instantly entered deep enough into the rock and carved out, leaving even walls and a smooth surface.
In general, there are a lot of questions about what kind of technologies allowed to do this in the past, but there are no answers. Scientists can only say that this is the work of ancient people and the most primitive tools.
