The Baltic Sea anomaly has baffled experts since its discovery in 2011 by the Swedish team Ocean X.
While exploring the ocean, the research team took a sonar image showing a strange object with unusual features, resting on the bottom of the Baltic Sea.
Soon after the discovery of this anomaly, some ufologists began to claim that the mysterious object could be an alien UFO, which probably crashed at sea.
However, now one of the conspiracy theorists has suggested that the anomaly may have been an underwater bunker built during World War II.

“The anomaly of the Baltic Sea resembles a 19th or 20th century bunker … This structure is similar to those used during the war. At least 4 main features of the object resemble similar signs found in bunkers located throughout Europe,”one conspiracy theorist wrote on the Time Loops website.

Nevertheless, geologists were skeptical about this statement. According to experts, the Baltic Sea anomaly is glacial deposits accumulated on the seabed during the Ice Age.
“I was surprised when I examined the material. I discovered a large black rock that may have been volcanic rock. My hypothesis is that this object, this structure was formed during the ice age many thousands of years ago,”said Volker Bruchert, assistant professor of geology at Stockholm University.
