In this article, I'll tell you why I consider the biblical flood to be one of the biggest failures in modern history. I ask you to pay special attention to the biblical subtext, because it plays a key role.

As the Bible says, the Lord decided to cause a flood to punish people for their untold sins. This is where the greatest failure lies.

Why the flood? Is it possible that the almighty Lord has such meager possibilities and imagination that he did not think of anything more indicative?

If he is as omnipotent as he is described in religions, then he could simply turn people to dust with one snap of his fingers, like Thanos in the Avengers. With a very strong desire, he could send the souls of the most sinful straight to hell, and leave the most good on Earth.

However, instead, we see a real comedy. Some incomprehensible flood, an ark, and a bunch of other trifles and details unnecessary for God. For some reason, God is not capable of simpler and easier solutions.

This is where doubts about the power and strength of God creep in.

Does it really exist, and if there is, how correctly the religious writings describe its capabilities.

Put yourself in the shoes of an omnipotent being, and think about which option you would choose to punish sinful people. I doubt anyone has ever thought about the flood, and especially about the ark.

I also draw your attention to the fact that this kind of story was well received several thousand years ago. After all, no one knew about the technical breakthrough of our civilization when they came up with religions.

I have no complaints about the flood itself. The only question is the truth of how, when and why it happened. Please do not forget that all of the above is my personal opinion!
