According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, 70% of lightning victims are men. Scientists explain this by a number of factors, including a higher level of testosterone in the body of the stronger sex, according to the TV channel "360".
Lightning is known to "prefer" tall single objects that have a magnetic field. Men fit all these parameters much more than women. First, they are banally taller than women, so the probability of being struck by lightning is, naturally, also statistically higher. Secondly, men are more likely to carry with them devices, gadgets, tools that have an electromagnetic field. Or just are next to them. This is due to the traditional "male" technical professions, and just a male adherence to technology.
Finally, thirdly, men are more fearless. Testosterone "provokes" the stronger sex to take risky actions, including going out into the open during a thunderstorm. The risk, of course, is a noble cause, but it is also fraught with sad consequences, including a lightning strike. Hence this ratio of victims - 70 to 30 percent "in favor" of women.
