Back in 1843, the Frenchman Paul-Émile Botta, who served as consul in Mosul in Iraq (formerly Mesopotamia), began excavations on the Kuyundzhik hill in the upper reaches of the Tigris and found the library of the Assyrian king Ashurbanipal (669-626 BC). Among other things, Botta discovered a clay tablet on which a huge number was written: 195,955,200,000,000. The destroyed city that once stood on the site of a hill was called Nineveh. A natural question arises: why could the ancient Assyrians need such a huge number ?!
This question was seriously interested in the French scientist, former NASA employee Maurice Chatelain. With the help of a computer, he established that this number is not arbitrary. It can be obtained by multiplying 70 by 60 to the seventh power.
60 … but after all, the Sumerians used the 60-ric number system (a minute with 60 seconds and an hour with 60 minutes is her heritage), and those, in turn, this system (as the Sumerians themselves explained) got it ready-made from "Gods"!
Chatelain made calculations and found out that a huge number is a Nineveh number - it can be time in seconds. According to this hypothesis, it turned out that in this case it is equal to 2268 million days, or approximately 6 million years.
The Sumerians were also famous as great astronomers, who compiled tables of the motion of all planets, including Uranus and Neptune, and who knew the concept of precession. The earth goes through one complete precessional cycle in about 26 thousand years. Chatelain divided the Nineveh number by the number of years in the precessional cycle and found that it equals 240 such cycles - or "great years."
He also calculated the cycles of revolution of the planets and their satellites in seconds and found that the Nineveh number is divisible by them without a remainder. Chatelain compared the Earth's orbital period with the data obtained by dividing the Nineveh number. He was slightly taken aback by the small ppm discrepancy. True, this discrepancy was only 12 millionths per day per year. At the same time, the Nineveh number showed such accurate results that Chatelain was confused by even such a small difference. However, if we consider that the Earth's motion is slowing down, albeit very slowly, and in 12 million years the year will become one day shorter, then … everything fell into place.
Thus, the Nineveh number gives us the exact value of the Earth's orbital period, and elementary calculations show that it was calculated 64,800 years ago.
It was then that the "civilization of the gods" reigned undividedly on Earth, and Homo sapiens was just genetically improved by them in the "Gardens of Eden" - about 70 thousand years ago!
