Each of the existing religions carries a set of certain rules and foundations. Some of them are radically different. But there are general canons that are observed in many world religions. So, for example, Christianity, Judaism and Islam forbid a woman to walk with her head uncovered. Naturally, there are certain nuances in following these traditions.
Christianity
According to biblical laws, covering her head, a woman recognizes the headship of a man. The Apostle Paul said that subordination to a man was established by God. And every Christian should gratefully accept the masculine principle. A covered woman's head symbolizes humility and is considered an important principle of the Christian faith. The scripture says that every woman should grow her hair and cover it with a scarf. Now on the street you rarely see a woman tied with a scarf. Basically, modern women of Christianity wear a headscarf only in church, which cannot be said about Muslim women who sacredly observe the laws of the Koran.
Islam
The principles of the Muslim religion are more radical. In Islam, the awrah (concealment of nakedness) is strictly observed. According to the Koran, a Muslim woman must sacredly honor God's advice and be clean. In Islam, for a woman it is prescribed to hide the whole body, including the feet and hands, while part of the face can remain open. There is no specific clause on covering the head in scripture, but the clause “covering the whole body” also includes the head. There is a tradition in Islam that originated from the Prophet Muhammad. All his children were girls. And he asked them to wear headscarves with their wives so that everyone around them would know that these women were from his family. In modern Islam, this tradition is sacred.

Judaism
In Judaism, every married woman must cover her head. Modern Jewish women can wear any type of headdress, including headscarves, hats, and even wigs. For an unmarried girl, this rule is optional. The sacred Talmud strictly emphasizes the female role and teaches that a woman can only show her dignity to her husband: before marriage, she must be completely subordinate to her father; after marriage, the man becomes the head of the family. In principle, these foundations can be traced in each of the discussed religions - the head is always a man.
As for the implementation of these canons, we now see their strict observance only in the Muslim religion. In Judaism, these prescriptions took on a more modern form. And in Christianity, most women consider the custom outdated, a woman with a covered head in ordinary life is rarely seen, unless, of course, the weather conditions are considered.
