I was born in 1973. My childhood fell on the Soviet era. As a schoolgirl, I, like many of my peers, went to rest in pioneer camps. They were located in the most beautiful corners of our country.

Once I was in a camp located near the Don River in the city of Pavlovsk. There we are with the kids

swam, sunbathed, marched on rulers. Under the guidance of the counselors, they organized concerts, performances, danced around the fire.

Now I understand that this was the happiest time in my life. We lived in small houses, 10-12 people in each. After dinner and getting ready for bed, the children went to their beds. And immediately after lights out, we began to tell scary stories.

And then one evening my girlfriend offered an interesting entertainment. One of the girls, at her direction, lay on the bed on her back, six more girls stood around her - one in the head, one at the legs, two on the left side, two on the right.

I remember I was on the right. Each of the standing had to clench their fists, then straighten the thumb and forefinger on both hands and bring them under the lying girl. Then the "magic" words were pronounced.

The one who kept her fingers under her head began to speak. She seemed to ask the one standing on the left, whose fingers were under her shoulders, she answered and, in turn, asked the next question. And so in a circle. The spell had to be repeated three times.

- Damn and the tow is dead, is it true? - I asked the girlfriend standing to my left.

Promotional video:

- Yes it's true! - she answered and turned to the next one with the same question.

After these words were said to each of us three times, we … easily lifted the girl lying on our fingers to the ceiling! It seemed that she was completely weightless! Having held the girl for some time in outstretched arms, we carefully lowered her onto the bed.

Remembering this incident, I think: where did we get the strength to lift and hold a human body at a height, and even on fingers? And what do these strange words mean in general: "Damn and the tow is dead, is it true?.. Yes, it's true!"
