In the United States, physicists at Livermore National Laboratory have declassified dozens of videos that were made during nuclear weapons tests in the mid-twentieth century.

From 1945 to 1962, the United States of America conducted a total of 210 atmospheric nuclear weapons tests. They were all recorded on tape with multiple cameras. Ten thousand films have been kept in secret repositories for 50 years. And only now has the US government given permission to publish these materials.

For five years, experts at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory have been working on recovering and scanning films. Scientists believe that these scary footage will help save humanity from error.

“All these films are connected by the fact that they contain a lot of high-quality scientific data. Data that can never be played. It is a devastating weapon and I hope it will never be used in war. But its reserves have been an effective deterrent for over 70 years. I hope this project will help preserve this effect,”said the LNL nuclear physicist who leads the film preservation group Gregg Spriggs.

Tests of nuclear weapons in the atmosphere were interpreted as the least dangerous. It is now clear that this is not the case.

Former member of the UN Commission on Biological and Chemical Weapons Igor Nikulin explained: “This is probably the most dangerous type of testing. Although, in the ocean - also nothing better. Because everything depends on the wind rose. And where will this radioactive cloud fly. Basically, it can fly anywhere and fly around the globe several times. Therefore, the consequence is an increase in the number of cancers around the world."

As a result, the concentration of radioactive substances in the atmosphere reached its peak in 1965. Although, in 1962, the tests were discontinued. But, the changes that have already taken place are practically irreversible.

Military expert Alexei Leonkov said: “Here is Bikini Atoll - one of the nuclear test zones conducted by the Americans, It really turned into a dead zone. There, no one informed people about this, and they were not asked. Do they want to have consequences? The Americans are not going to apologize to the inhabitants of the islands and pay any compensation."

23 nuclear explosions. The inhabitants of the atoll were previously evacuated to one of the uninhabited islands with a supply of food. And at the end of the tests, they were returned to the spent landfill. Within a few hours, they developed symptoms of radiation sickness. And only a week later, the Americans decided to provide medical assistance to the victims. In total, during the period of US nuclear weapons tests, 840 Pacific Islanders have died of cancer. Research was carried out on a voluntary basis. Of course, the test subjects were not warned of the mortal danger.

Military expert Alexei Leonkov says: “There were tests involving US Army personnel. Determined how the army can act on the battlefield after such a nuclear test. But, as far as we know, all the same, compensation by this participant in the tests somehow managed to knock out. But, anyway, money will never restore the health of people that they have lost as a result of experiments. They were warned, they just were not told about the consequences that would be with their health."

Effective systems of defense against a nuclear attack have not yet been developed. Autonomous underground bunkers only. You can spend a maximum of several years there. The half-life of carbon-14 is 5370 years. And if the Third World War comes, there will be no winners in it.
