In our time, the former secret government facility called "Aralsk-7" is no longer secret. True, very few people know about this place. Outwardly, it is very similar to the city of Pripyat.

At the moment it is abandoned and deserted - just take it and shoot another horror or post-apocalyptic film on its territory. However, even in the days of the Soviet Union, life in Aralsk-7 was in full swing. There were several dozen residential buildings in this city, as well as not one club and grocery store, even a school.

In general, everything was done in order to ensure the independence of this top-secret city from the rest of the world. Do you know why this secret city was created. Believe it or not - it was created to secure the top secret object "Resident Evil". Yes, you heard right. Only at that time there was no series of American films of the same name about zombies. At that time it was a testing ground for weapons of mass destruction of people. But at the moment when the USSR collapsed, all work at this facility was suspended - simply no one had money. The entire population at that moment was taken out, and the landfill with the town and expensive equipment was taken and simply abandoned.

It is still not clear what scientists and researchers were doing at that top-secret test site. At the very beginning of the 20th century - in 1920, the ruling elite thought about creating a large military training ground where biological weapons could be tested safely enough.

What kind people, however. And when choosing a place for the construction of such a landfill, the unknown island of Vozrozhdenie, which is located in the Aral Sea, was chosen. This island is far enough from the main continent, so no deadly viruses could cross the sea. And the climate in these places was just perfect - constant heat. Few microorganisms can withstand this high temperature test. And this further reduced the risk of possible contamination of the continent. It was at this test site that good and decent scientists of the Soviet Union for many years tested the most terrible biological weapons of mass destruction - there was also the plague, typhus, and anthrax virus. And in 1939, the first weapon test took place here at the test site - a bomb with a deadly virus was dropped on the island's territory, after which the territory was disinfected.

And not far from this top-secret government training ground was the small town of Kantubek, which later received the name Aralsk-7. To say that this town was closed is to say nothing. He was completely separated from the outside world, and completely independent of it. It even had its own power plant, and fresh water supplies were delivered from the city of Aralsk. It had its own post office, shops, barracks, canteen and even a stadium for recreation. In their free time, most of the residents relaxed in local clubs or swam in the Aral Sea. It got to the point that a whole airfield was built on the territory of this closed town, and the airfield is simply unique in its design - there are still no analogues anywhere in the world.

It includes six stripes that are connected to each other in the shape of a wind rose. This island was very strongly blown by the wind, and no one could guess in which direction the next powerful air stream would blow at the next moment.

Therefore, the pilot had a wide variety of landing strips, which he chose based on weather conditions. In Aralsk-7, few people knew about that. What are military scientists doing at the island's training ground? While the inhabitants of this town were peacefully relaxing on the beaches of the Aral Sea, caring military men blew up bombs with biological weapons on the island. On the territory of the island there was a whole research complex, which consisted of a variety of structures - vivariums, laboratories, test compartments, etc. This research complex worked around the clock and non-stop.

There was a story among local residents that allegedly at the end of the 20th century the Soviet Union made an order for five hundred monkeys from Africa in order to test the destructive effects of deadly viruses on them. After the monkeys died, their bodies were burned, and the ashes were scattered near the landfill.
