The elderly man planned to climb to a height of 600 meters on a homemade rocket and verify this hypothesis.

American Mike Hughes was unable to obtain permission to fly on his homemade rocket to test the theory of a flat earth. It is reported by the Washington Post.

A 61-year-old man does not believe our planet is round. To make sure with his own eyes that he was right and prove the hypothesis to those around him, Hughes had been collecting a rocket in his garage for several years, on which he planned to climb and was going to rise to a height of 600 meters.

The start was scheduled for November 25th. However, he said, the US Bureau of State and Public Lands banned the flight, although a year ago it gave him oral permission.

“It’s always like that when dealing with any government agency,” Hughes said.

At the same time, the local branch of this organization assured the publication that the inventor did not contact them.

However, Hughes is true to his theory and does not lose hope of proving it. In the next couple of weeks, the inventor intends to travel to the Mojave Desert and launch a rocket from a private property.
