Known as the Crooked Forest, this place is considered one of the strangest places in Central Europe. It is located in Western Pomerania (Poland). About 400 trees in this forest have a rather unusual shape: they are curved at the base at an angle of almost 90 degrees.
There is a version that this was done by people with young seedlings somewhere in the 1930s. But there is still no consensus about who did it and why. Such bending of trees could be convenient in shipbuilding or furniture making, but whether this was the reason for doing this with trees is still a mystery.
Oddly enough, each tree is bent in the same direction - to the North. A quick search on the Internet reveals many options and explanations for this phenomenon - from the influence of energy fields to witchcraft and magic.
