The Balochistan Sphinx, as it is popularly called, opened to the public in 2004 following the construction of the Makran Highway linking two port cities in Pakistan. Although the complex clearly looks like a man-made creation, scientists do not want to admit it. But the facts tell a different story …

Despite the fact that official scientists and archaeologists do not want to recognize an obvious architectural complex in the "Baluchistan Sphinx", they did not even carry out serious research in this direction, there were several enthusiasts who did not consider the unusual outlines of the rock to be a simple coincidence with the famous sphinxes.

Among them is the famous British writer, Graham Hancock, who visited the site and shared interesting findings:

"The Sphinx appears to be adorned with a headdress that is very similar to the headdress of the Egyptian pharaohs - nemes."

“Nemes is a striped fabric that covers the crown and the back of the head. It has two large, noticeable flaps (folds) that hang behind the ears and in front of the shoulders.”

"The Sphinx has a horizontal furrow on its forehead, similar to a pharaoh's headband, which holds the nemes headdress in place."

“One can easily see the contours of the Sphinx's lying forepaws, which end in very well-defined paws. It is difficult to imagine how nature could create a statue that would so strikingly closely resemble the well-known mythical animal.”

The Sphinx is perceived by almost all stakeholders as a symbol of protection, protection, and was often erected on sacred or very important sites. And the Sphinx from Baluchistan is no different, it seems that it is guarding a temple structure nearby.

There is another important structure in the immediate vicinity of the Balochistan Sphinx. From a distance it looks like a Hindu temple with a mandapa (open hall with columns) and a vimana (spire temple). The upper part of the Vimana appears to be missing.

Many have come to the conclusion that the Balochistan Sphinx is a whole architectural complex, where the sphinx guards the sacred place and the entrance to the temple.

Do you still consider the Balochistan Sphinx to be a natural formation?

Then take a closer look at this amazing place.

It seems that the elevated platform on which the Sphinx and the Temple are located has been skillfully and artificially carved with columns, niches and symmetrical patterns all over the top of the platform. Some niches may well be doors leading to chambers and halls under the Sphinx Temple. It is also interesting to note that the Balochistan Sphinx and temple are located on an elevated platform, just like the Sphinx and pyramids in Egypt, built on the Giza plateau overlooking the city of Cairo.

Another notable feature of this site is the series of steps leading up to the platform. They appear to be evenly spaced, and the same height. The entire site gives the impression of a grandiose, rocky, architectural complex, which has been partially destroyed and covered with layers of sediment, masking the more intricate details of the sculptures.

Today even skeptics have begun to question the natural reason for the origin of this place. But why was there no official investigation?

This is clearly a very controversial archaeological site, like many other amazing structures on the Makran coast, the importance of which can hardly be overestimated.
