In Russia, scientists from the Skolkovo Innovation Center have found a way to fight bacteria, fungi and viruses, which can be effective against coronavirus as well. Izvestia writes about this.
According to experts, such a means of struggle is water treated with cold plasma, which was given the name "Megnaril". Scientists note that during certain chemical processes "aggressive" forms of oxygen and hydrogen, as well as hypochlorous acid, are formed. These substances are capable of destroying viruses.
This water can be used for the treatment of masks and various surfaces, as well as for spraying in the air. The liquid is safe for humans, cheap to manufacture - about 100 rubles per thousand liters.
Currently, scientists are engaged in registration of a patent for an invention and preparation of serial production.
Earlier, Rospotrebnadzor created a high-precision test for diagnosing coronavirus. The new test will not only detect COVID-19, but also differentiate it from other related coronaviruses and from MERS-Cov (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome). As noted in the department, thanks to mass testing, further spread of the infection can be prevented.
