The pages are microscopically engraved and then galvanized in solid nickel. One side of the disc contains a graphic teaser. The text begins with spirals going inward, in ever decreasing size until it becomes too small to read. The text keeps getting smaller and smaller, and you need a microscope that can magnify well to make it out. The other side of the disc contains actually saved data.
Each page is only 400 microns wide - roughly 5 human hairs thick - and can be read through a 650X microscope. As clearly and clearly as if you are reading a book. Individual pages are visible at a much lower magnification of 100x.

Great idea and implementation. Looks like a doomsday repository for languages only. Languages are the cultural wealth of humanity. They must be preserved and studied so that descendants can understand what was discussed in the writings or conversations millennia later.
