Cemeteries, by definition, cannot be cheerful and bright places, but there are some on our planet that freeze the blood in our veins and feel uncomfortable.
Ghosts of prisoners
In Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland, a prison was built in the 16th century, and a cemetery for the Greyfriars prisoners was formed next to it. Of the 1,200 prisoners, only 257 were able to get out of captivity - most remained here forever. Due to the fact that this land is saturated with evil, the souls of the dead often terrorize ordinary visitors. During the day, the place does not pose any danger, but at night it breathes with horror and suffering of people who remained in this prison forever and did not find peace after death. Ghosts and ghosts are very common in this cemetery.
Miner slaves
Chilean cemetery La Noria is located in the abandoned city of the same name, which is located in the middle of the Atacama Desert. Several centuries ago, there were mines in this settlement, the owners of which were distinguished by a cruel attitude towards their slave miners. Sometimes the owners killed them, not sparing the children. The dead were buried in a specially designated place, where there are now many open or dug graves. They say that in the local school you can see the ghosts of dead children sitting at their desks.

City of the dead
If you have watched the film “Paris. City of the Dead”, then you should know that the tangled tunnels shown there with the bones of dead people really exist. A rather creepy fact is that so many people are buried in the catacombs near Paris that their number exceeds the number of inhabitants above. If you find yourself in these labyrinths filled with human bones, it will be quite difficult to get out of there on your own. This is one of the creepiest places on earth, because it is the "city of the dead" under the real city. The underground tunnels stretch for almost two kilometers. Today this place has turned into a tourist place, and anyone who wishes for a few tens of euros can walk along the "street" of the dead city and feel the whole palette of feelings.
Ossuary
The Sedlec Ossuary is located in the Czech town of Kutná Hora. It is a crypt containing over 40 thousand bodies. The fear is raised by the fact that the bones of many of the victims were used as jewelry. The skulls of dead people hang over the heads of visitors, as if they were decorative elements. The most famous decoration of the ossuary is a huge chandelier, which contains the entire set of bones of the human body. This creates a sense of horror that lasts for a long time.
Cartoons instead of photos
The cemetery in the Romanian village of Sepyntsa is famous for the fact that all the tombstones are brightly painted and made in the ironic style of naive art. There is no hint of sadness, which in itself scares many believers. Many Christians believe this is beyond adequacy. Often, visitors are often lost in the midst of multi-colored tombstones, on which funny poems are written about episodes of the deceased's life and cartoons are drawn instead of photographs.
