The story was told by Aaron from Washington State. It happened 25 years ago in 1993, when he was 18 years old and he lived with his family in Clark County in the same state.
His father was a teacher, and in the summer, the whole family was hired to drive horses from local farmers. They also had a small farm near Orchards and several dozen acres of land.
The night this happened, Aaron and his parents were driving a herd of 22 horses to their farm and almost arrived at the site when they suddenly saw a red glow almost at the place where their farm stood. They first thought the farm was on fire.
“Seeing this glow, my father and mother began to get very worried, my friend was also in the car and he was also scared. But when we got closer, the glow was over our field, and now it seemed to us that this field was on fire.
Then we drove even closer and the light turned out not to be fire, but a huge bright spotlight shining in the sky. He suddenly hovered right above us and the horses that were behind our car, the parents got scared even more and dad even started to press on the horn.
And the horses … all of our 22 horses went out on the field with grass and froze as if rooted to the spot under this searchlight, stretching out their heads and gazing upward. None of them moved. My dad yelled at them and kept pressing the signal. But the horses paid no attention to him at all. And then we all jumped out of the car and ran to the field.
Only then did we realize how huge this thing was. It practically covered our entire field, all 10 acres. It covered both the field with the horses and our farm, but the ray of light coming out of it was directed only at the horses. And it moved, dropping lower and lower, but suddenly it sharply changed its trajectory and slowed down.

The light from it was so bright that at 3 o'clock in the morning it illuminated everything around as during the day. After deceleration, the object moved 45 degrees, quickly went up and … disappeared. My father and I looked at each other and he finally squeezed out "We will not tell anyone about this."
After all this, we went to the horses and began to try to take them away from the field, and they stood so terribly frightened that they trembled all over and their eyes were bulging and with dilated pupils. Only after half an hour they stopped shaking and we were able to take them away.
To this day, I cannot believe what I saw then with my own eyes. Now I am over forty years old and I am no longer afraid of what other people might think of me and therefore I decided to tell about this case."
