The existence of the mysterious phenomenon of "last dreams" is confirmed by 10 years of research and thousands of testimonies.
It is known that miraculously resurrected people - those who came to life after clinical death, talk about strange visions. They are called dying. They often tell the same thing: they say, they see how the whole previous life flies before their eyes, they find themselves in some kind of dark tunnel ending in a bright light, they observe themselves from the sidelines, they meet long-dead relatives.
However, as it turned out, something - no less supernatural - happens to the dying, who have not yet stepped on the threshold of the other world, but only approaching it. The oddities begin about 3 weeks before death. This is convincing by the results of studies published in the Journal of Palliative Medicine. They are briefly reported by the CBSPittsburg (KDKA) portal.
For more than 10 years, American doctors from the Hospice Buffalo in New York State, led by Dr. Christopher Kerr, have been observing dying patients and recording their stories. As a result, there were about 13 thousand pieces of evidence, which allowed us to draw the appropriate conclusions.

Dying dreams were reported by 88 percent of patients. These dreams, if you really can call them that, were incredibly vivid. And so clear that they thought their dreams were real.
Most often, the sleeping people communicated with the dead. There were 72 percent of them. As a rule, close relatives or friends "appeared" to them. They were seen, sometimes they talk to them. They called to them and consoled. Like, don't worry, here - in the next world, it's not bad at all.
One of Dr. Kerr's patients, three days before her death, said that she had seen her long-dead husband. She was standing at the very top of a staircase, he was at the bottom. And he smiled affectionately.

Another common story: the patients were either going on a trip - they were packing their things, buying tickets - or had already left. There are 59 percent of them. Some found themselves sitting on a plane or on a train. Next to us they saw still living and already deceased relatives, friends and acquaintances with whom it was so good that they did not want to part.
Exceptionally living loved ones were seen in their deathbed dreams by 29 percent of patients at the Buffalo Hospice. And 28 percent watched some kind of repetitive scenes from their past lives, leaving pleasure.
The dying were interviewed every day. They willingly shared their "experiences" - they just had to ask. For some, dreams alternated: now the dead, relatives appeared, now alive, now the “long journey” was seen.
What and who dreams more often.
Dying children became an exception: most often they dreamed about their dead pets. Dogs and cats, of course, whose names were easily remembered by little patients. People also dreamed. But the children did not recognize them.
A series of strange dreams began 11-10 weeks before death, in 3 weeks their frequency increased rapidly, and the visions themselves became brighter.
What is the nature of the phenomenon? Dr. Carr honestly admits he doesn't know. Maybe he testifies to the existence of the afterlife and the soul. Or maybe the brain is so weird.
The doctor is sure of only one thing: a series of "last" dreams makes it easier for people to transition to another world. It prepares them - soothes, reduces the fear of death. But it seems that the strangeness that has begun are also its harbingers.
The frequency of similar dreams increases as death approaches.
