Let's turn our eyes to one of the most mysterious and ancient countries of our planet - Egypt. After all, the structures scattered throughout almost all of its territory simply cause a flurry of questions and versions of their origin. Here are just a few of them, which can only be explained by the presence of the ancient creators of knowledge that is inaccessible even to our modern science.
It is inexplicable, but it is a fact that in the third millennium BC, there was simply a dizzying technological growth in Egypt. And as if by magic, the Egyptians master the secrets of processing such particularly hard materials as diorite, granite, obsidian, quartz … And all this at that time, even when they had no idea about iron and all sorts of technological equipment.
And over time, the acquired skills are completely forgotten. Isn't it strange?
First, let's examine the sarcophagi. They can be conditionally divided into two classes, which are surprisingly different in the skill of decoration. Some of them are roughly finished boxes with roughly finished surfaces. And others, perfectly polished granite containers of unknown purpose. Many of the sarcophagi are processed in such a way that even modern instruments do not guarantee such a result.
They also raise many questions that the ancient Egyptian sculptures do not give answers to. A striking example is the statue of Pharaoh Khafru, belonging to the Fourth Dynasty and dating from 2639 - 2506 BC. This obelisk is in the Egyptian Museum and is available for viewing. The treatment of the statue evokes delight; it is simply polished to mirror reflections.
But there is a discrepancy, at that time copper and stone tools were used to process materials. It is still possible to process limestone with them, but this statue is carved from a monolithic piece of diorite and this material cannot be processed with such tools.

Further more. If you move to the bank of the West Nile, then the colossi of Memnon cease to look. And here the spirit begins to take hold. These statues are 18 meters tall and weigh 750 tons each. And the pedestal has a mass of 500 tons. And all this splendor is carved from extra durable quartzite. Here any engineer will say that in order to transport such a load, you just need to perform a special operation using the most modern lifts and special equipment, and there is nothing to do with logs and ropes.
These statues are very badly damaged, but some intact parts suggest that a grinding tool was also used to process them.
But even these statues will turn out to be smallish when you see a huge pedestal located in the courtyard of the temple of Ramses II. Its height is 19 meters, and its mass is equal to 1,000 tons of pink granite! The pedestal, on which this statue was previously located, also weighs an impressive 750 tons.
Simply fantastic dimensions, weight and excellent workmanship hardly fit into the time period to which its creation is attributed, namely 1550-1070 BC.
But the temple complex itself fits perfectly into the buildings of that time. Almost all other statues and structures are made of soft rock - limestone.
The same picture emerges with the colossi of Memnon, their age is also attributed to the date of the construction of the surrounding temple, which does not differ in special technologies and is made of limestone.
This is only due to the fact that at that time the pharaohs built their structures around the already existing megaliths left over from another much more ancient civilization.
