There are many UFO encounters around the world. But some of the most compelling evidence comes not from one person, but from a whole group of people who have seen the strange phenomenon together. For an unknown reason, UFOs are most often observed near schools and other educational institutions.
Some researchers believe that children and young people are less susceptible to stereotypical thinking. Therefore, it is easier for aliens to make contact with them. What are the numerous UFO sightings? What is this - a simple game of imagination? Perhaps a mass psychosis? Or were the students really eyewitnesses to the manifestations of extraterrestrial life?
10. School Ariel, Zimbabwe
In 1994, a class of 62 children at Ariel Elementary School in Zimbabwe was in the courtyard of the school during recess. The teacher stayed indoors at this time. All of a sudden, all the children heard a loud whistling noise, followed by a flash of light. A silver UFO landed in the schoolyard and several aliens exited the ship.
The children felt paralyzed. All they could do was look into the big black eyes of the aliens. The children then began to see various images when the aliens apparently tried to make telepathic contact with them. One girl later said that the aliens told her that people did not care for the planet properly and that the world would soon perish. Her mind was filled with images of dying trees, which caused the earth to run out of oxygen.
When the aliens left, the children were able to move again and panic seized them. Everyone started screaming and ran back to school to tell their teacher what had happened. Dr. John Mack, a psychiatrist at Harvard University, visited Ariel's school to interview children and teachers. All interviews were recorded on video.

Dr. Mack asked each of the children to draw what the aliens and the mysterious landed object looked like. All their stories and drawings almost completely coincided. Dr. Mack stated that having worked as a psychiatrist for many years, he is excellent at recognizing when people are lying or delusional. However, he fully believed in the story told by the students of Ariel's school.
9. Hillsdale College, Michigan
One evening in March 1966, a young student from Hillsdale College in Michigan left the dorm when she saw a large, glowing disc hovering over the campus. She called the police, and soon an officer named William Van Horn came to the call. Approximately 100 students left the dormitory to witness this UFO.
The luminous object began to move towards a nearby swamp and then took off into the night sky. After receiving a report from Van Horne's US Air Force Officer, Researcher Dr. Hynek came to survey the area. During the press conference, he claimed that he had not found any evidence of any spacecraft and suggested that the students saw "swamp gas burning."
Dr. Heineck's report excited the public, prompting him to conduct a more thorough investigation. He investigated the soil near the swamp where, according to the students, a UFO had landed. Abnormally high doses of radiation were found in the mud, as well as boron, which is an element used in the production of nuclear energy. Dr. Hynek tried again to brush off the surprise find, saying it must have been a joke of students having fun with fireworks.
8. Elder Park Primary, Scotland
In 1952 in Glasgow, Scotland, Joan Torrance walked home with her friends from Elder Park Elementary School. This story took place in early summer, it was around 4:00 pm, so the sun was still bright and high in the sky. Joan had just walked across the landing when the sky suddenly darkened.
Her friends didn't seem to notice. Joan turned to look back at the school, and she saw a slotted silver plate hanging over the building. The object was so large that it blocked the sunlight. The janitor and one teacher went outside and also looked at the UFO with surprise.
Joan felt that she could not move, as if paralyzed. The UFO began to spin and time seemed to stop. Then the girl heard a whistling sound, and the ship rushed into the sky. Upon returning home, Joan told her mother what had happened, but she did not believe her. But the next day, newspapers reported that residents of the city of Glasgow had seen a flying saucer.
7. Broad Haven Elementary School, Wales
This story took place in 1977 at Broad Haven Elementary School in Wales. The gym class was interrupted as a group of boys stared at a silver ship with a dome in the middle. He landed on a field in the schoolyard. The children saw the silhouette of a man who appeared in one of the windows, but he was too far away to make out the details of the face.
When the UFO flew away, the boys returned to school and frantically began to tell the principal what had just happened. The principal told them all to calm down and then interviewed the boys one by one. Each of the students made a UFO drawing, and they all told the same story.
Plus, Broad Haven Scool's students weren't the only UFO sightings. There was a woman in Broad Haven named Rosa Granville. Shortly after the alien ship left the school grounds, she saw that it had landed next to her hotel. The woman came close enough to see the faceless humanoids.
Shortly thereafter, a red rash appeared on her face, similar to the result of radiation damage. The ground where the UFO landed was scorched. A few days later, two men in black suits appeared and asked her strange questions.
Years after Rosa's death, her daughter Francine was preparing to sell the hotel. The local media asked her to tell about the incident when her mother saw the aliens. But Francine had no idea that her mother saw a UFO, because she never spoke about it. According to Francine, Rosa was a very serious and level-headed woman, and she would never lie about something like that.
6. Westwell High School, Melbourne
In April 1966, a class of students at Westell High School in Melbourne, Australia, was in training when the children saw an unusual silver disc fly over them. The object moved so fast that it seemed to be practically teleporting from one area to another. Several students rushed inside the school to tell their friends about the incident.
More and more people began to go outside to see this UFO, in total there were more than 200 witnesses, both teachers and students. The UFO eventually headed towards the forest and hid among the trees. Then a bright flash of light could be observed.
Westall High students and faculty weren't the only ones to see it. One citizen eyewitness was in the forest in which a UFO disappeared. At the place where the unidentified object was, there was a circle of crumpled grass, as if something heavy had landed there. When the witness tried to visit the site for the second time, he came face to face with armed men in military uniform. The soldiers checked the ground for radiation with a Geiger counter. According to National Geographic, government forces did not conduct exercises that day, so there is no definitive answer to what the silver disc really was.
5. Greenock Primary School, Scotland
This incident took place in Greenock, Scotland, in 1948. A nine-year-old girl named Linda was walking home from school with her friend. They both heard a strange buzzing noise and looked up to see several flying saucers in the air. The UFOs flew so low that the creatures inside could be seen.
Instead of getting scared, the children started waving their arms and jumping up and down. The aliens waved back. Linda revealed that the UFOs continued to follow them on their way home, as if they were babysitting. Then they flew away and disappeared. It sounds like a child's story trying to get attention. However, in 1948, the odds of a nine-year-old girl knowing what a typical UFO is seems to be a little low.
4. Primary school in Aberdeen, Scotland
Jane Freeman was playing on the grounds of an elementary school in Aberdeen when she noticed a silver disc in the sky. Nothing remarkable happened, and no one else saw it, the UFO flew away. Despite the fact that the girl had never before been interested in this topic, she suddenly became interested in space and began to collect information about the possibility of life on other planets.
A few years later, Jane and her parents moved to a new home in England. In the middle of the night, she heard a noise and looked out the window, in which she saw a UFO resembling a "swollen pancake."
Jane happily ran outside and was greeted by an alien who looked like a man in a black suit. The same humanoid aliens visited her several more times already in adulthood. Jane's descriptions are consistent with other eyewitness accounts of similar events, but her stories have not been corroborated by other evidence.
3. St. Mark's Primary School, Scotland
In 1978, a group of schoolchildren played outside in the courtyard of St. Mark's Elementary School in Glasgow. They all witnessed the appearance of a silver UFO shining in the sky and hovering over the school. One of the boys, named Brian Rally, described it as looking like "two hats joined together."
Compared to other sightings, this UFO was relatively small, only about 1.2 meters in diameter. None of the teachers witnessed this incident. When the children tried to tell them that they had seen a UFO, the educators stated that it was all a matter of imagination.
In 1993, Rally was interviewed by a local newspaper and he claimed that the UFO he saw that day was real. It made such an impression on him that the image of an unidentified flying object remained in his memory, even after many years.
2. Wokingham Primary School, England Coast
Two boys attending Wokingham Elementary School on the Isle of Wight were on campus when they noticed ash and sparks falling from the sky. This happened in 1967 at about 8:45 am. The guys looked up and saw a large UFO. They described it as a "milky white" object because it reflected clouds.
During the day, the boys were in class and periodically looked out the window. They could still see the UFO hovering in the air and moving very slowly. It seemed that for some time the object lost control and began to move erratically.
Eventually, he began to move away and gradually disappeared from sight. At the bus stop, one of the boys looked at a cornfield across the street from the school. The corn stalks were crumpled as if something had hit the field. The boys told their parents who called the police. The researchers examined the cornfield and, of course, found characteristic circles there.
1. Crestview Elementary School, Florida
The National UFO Information Center was established in 1974 to collect sightings from witnesses that were not covered by the mainstream media. One of these stories took place in Miami, Florida, at Crestview Elementary School in 1967.
According to one witness, over 100 children were playing on the school playground under the supervision of teachers when three oval flying saucers made their way through the clouds. One of the UFOs was as large as a cruise ship, while the other two were much smaller. The teachers were shocked and didn't know what to do. A large ship landed in a field a few hundred meters from the school, and two other objects disappeared from view.
The children were told to immediately go home. Several of the students got on their bicycles and, instead of heading home, drove to the UFO landing site as fast as they could. No unusual objects were observed, but the ground looked burnt and the grass was crumpled. The next day, government officials surveyed the area while local reporters from the Miami Herald interviewed boys on bicycles. Instead of passing on the boys' testimonies of UFOs, the newspaper claimed that three helicopters had frightened teachers and students.
