The Swedish version of the Loch Ness Monster was filmed for the first time

In the middle of summer, enthusiasts installed six cameras near the lake in the hope of filming a monster known to locals for centuries. For the first time, enthusiasts from the public association Svenstaviks Interesseferenning were able to film the Loch Ness Monster in Lake Storsjoe in central Sweden, Swedish media reported.

"The creature is at least one meter in length," - quoted by the newspaper "Expression" Susanne Chindström, participating in the observation of this phenomenon.

According to the newspaper, in the middle of summer, enthusiasts installed six cameras near the lake in the hope of filming a monster known to local residents for several centuries, RIA Novosti reports. In August, one of the cameras recorded something "half-blurred" in the southern part of the lake - a creature resembling a long snake.

“These shootings were a big surprise for us. At the moment, we cannot explain what kind of creature it is. But, in any case, this is not an eel, because the head of the creature does not seem to be too wide in the frame,”explains Susanne Chindstrem.

According to her, the material received, which will be sent for study to experts, suggests that we are talking about a living organism.

On a specially created site, amateur filmmakers write that the first mention of the monster from Lake Storshe is in 1635. In local folklore, there is a legend about how two trolls boiled water in a cauldron on the shore of a lake. It boiled for many years, but one day the trolls heard a strong blow, and a terrible monster with a snake-black body and head like a cat crawled out of the cauldron and disappeared into the lake.

People with the help of spells managed to curb the monster, and it did not make itself felt for many centuries. Interest in the mysterious creature wakes up in the 18th century: both local residents and visiting amateurs begin to hunt for him.

The search for the monster from Lake Storshe was constantly conducted with interruptions of several years, starting from the end of the 18th century until the 60s of the last century. It was during these years that local authorities first began to demand a ban on the search or murder of a mysterious creature. The administration even declared the lake a nature reserve in 1986 and banned any searches for the monster.

Accidents among local residents associated with the existence of a mysterious animal in the lake have not occurred over the past 200 years.

In 2006, due to the lack of evidence of the existence of a mysterious creature in a Swedish lake, the local authorities canceled the earlier decision and lifted the ban on searching or researching the mysterious inhabitant of the reservoir.
