The very first mention of the action of "black matter" we meet in a school textbook on the history of the ancient world, and this mention exists under the name "Medusa Gorgon", from whose gaze all living things turn into stone. There is also an assumption that the "Medusa Gorgon" refers to cold air, which does not turn all living things into stone, but into ice. But how cold it must be in Greece, even if it is ancient, for people to freeze in a standing position and instantly. And this is not at all like turning into a pillar of salt, as the tragedy of the Jewish cities is described when Lot's wife Abraham turned into a pillar. There is only one drawback associated with translation, when we read that Lot "turned back" and turned into a pillar of salt, and the Church Slavonic text of the Bible says "came back", and here we must understand,that the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah and five more settlements, together with Lotha who returned to her children and grandchildren, turned into a pillar of salt. There is an explanation for this effect described in the Bible in modern history. In Alaska, one settlement has stopped communicating. When we flew there to find out what had happened, we found all previously existing in this settlement covered with a thick layer of salt. It happened so quickly that both the deer and the people turned into pillars of salt. Research has shown that an ice comet made of hydrogen sulfide fell near the settlement. People were instantly poisoned, and sulfur and water covered them with a shell that prevented their bodies from falling. Among the comets of space, there are various chemical elements that exist in the form of ice. In different cases, there may be different consequences of the transformation of a living into an ice or salt pillar. But for me there is one mystery here, which I will remember later.
"Medusa Gorgon" flew over the people and as soon as they look at it, they turned into stone sculptures. The key word "flew by" … Maybe just like ice comets flying in the fall and releasing water with salt, hydrogen sulfide or other components, falling on people, "turn" them into pillars.
A huge number of video cameras and telephones are now allowing us, using the Internet, to learn about events almost instantly and without any filtering from the authorities. And so, dozens of pictures or videos of animals frozen on the run or in a rack appear.
This can be explained by the answer to a student's question to a teacher more than a hundred years ago: "Why does hot water freeze faster than cold water?" Do you have an answer to this question?
Let's think about what happens to a bottle or barrel if it is filled with water and is exposed to frost? It will burst … burst, because the water expands during freezing and thereby breaks the container. The expansion of water upon freezing means that the distance between water molecules increases, which destroys the relationship between the molecules and water loses its qualities: free movement, fluidity and interconnection. But as soon as the distance between water molecules increases, the relationships between the molecules break down, and the water becomes solid. Moreover, if the temperature drops to 70 0 С, then even metal molecules stop interacting with each other, and metals that are not prepared for such temperatures become too fragile for their use in the Arctic or Antarctica.
And here another question arises: what fills the space between the molecules when the distance between them increases. Nature abhors a vacuum, but a vacuum cannot exist in the presence of air next to water. If air penetrated between water or metal molecules, then water would become vapor, metal - powder or metal powder.
Let's call what fills the space between molecules at low temperatures as mythical “black matter” - matter that destroys the relationship between molecules, but retains the general shape of the material. Liquid matter loses its viscosity and becomes solid. The metal loses its strength and becomes brittle. But let's remember that salt water freezes at lower temperatures than fresh water. Why? Yes, because between the water molecules there are also salt molecules that do not allow "black matter" to penetrate between the water molecules. The more molecules of salts, alkali, and acids in water, the lower temperatures are needed for water to solidify. To tell the truth, I can't even imagine why there are cases when the water in a stationary state of a plastic bottle does not freeze until it is strongly shaken. A sharp shaking of the water causes the water to solidify instantly. At the same time, there should be a minimum amount of air in the bottle. Today I will try what will happen if there is absolutely no air in the bottle. If "black matter" exists in space and in the air, as a subzero temperature, t 0 0 С is the threshold for its action on water, then in the absence of air in the bottle, the water cannot freeze … or freeze … But water has an unlimited number of behaviors when freezing from 0.01% of the presence of minerals to (??). Probably the same as the number of options for snowflakes in December beyond the Arctic Circle. Moreover, if alcohol is present in the water, then the "black matter" freezing water from the walls of the bottle can displace the alcohol to the center of the bottle, increasing the concentration of alcohol. And then the dissolved alcohol will become concentrated. The alcohol mixes easily with water,but apparently it is present in it without interaction, as is the case with salts or acids, and is easily displaced from the matter of water. Acidic or alkaline electrolytes do not freeze, but at low concentrations and at low temperatures they do not work well in batteries. In the north, the electrolyte is made of increased density so that it does not lose its qualities in winter.

Here I am writing all this so that it is clear that there are a huge number of options for the behavior of water when it freezes. After all, if the water seems to us pure and without any aftertaste, then ice streaks first appear in a bottle of water, and if you drain the water from the bottle when there are ice streaks in it, then we get, according to popular belief, "living" water, and then, after waiting when the ice remaining in the bottle melts, we get “dead” water. We did not add salt to this bottle, there were natural impurities in it, which froze before the "pure living" water. The existence of salts in water and the existence of natural precipitation in it have a different effect on water when it freezes.
I filled the bottle with water in a bucket so that not a drop of air entered the bottle and put it in the freezer. An hour passed … the water did not freeze, even streaks of ice did not appear in it. Another half hour passed, and the water did not freeze, only the walls of the bottle began to crunch. The most difficult thing is not even the slightest drop of air. If water does not freeze as usual in the presence of air, or its freezing occurs in a different way, then this will mean that "black matter" exists in the air and in space, and its effect begins from minus 0 0 С. After two hours streaks of ice appeared in the water. He drained the water that was not frozen, and separately shook out the pieces of ice. I must say that melted ice is an abomination to the mouth, like many medicines. Now I fill the bottle with water purified through a filter, I need three times purified water,and maybe five times cleared through freezing.
Frozen water expands in volume, and heated water increases in volume, bonds between molecules decrease, and in this case "black matter" penetrates between water molecules more easily than in plain water - at ordinary temperature. In nature, there is another mystery: magma poured out of the volcano's vent, with t = 600 0 C, rolled down the mountainside and, having touched houses, began to set fire to the walls of buildings. But when it cooled down, it turned into water, which was used to extinguish fires. I was struck here by the fact that water at t = 1200C turns into steam. That is, the bonds of molecules are destroyed so much that they stop interacting. But now we have learned that, having crossed this barrier, water becomes like molten lead. This is how much we found the state of water, just touching on this issue in passing.

But the mystery of the effect of "Medusa Gorgon" remains unsolved. Transformation of a person into ice in a split second … or is it first paralysis of the body, and then freezing of the body? If the paralysis of the body in one person, an animal or a fish is an internal personal anomaly, like paralysis of the nervous system, or a group of people. But a paralyzed pike with a perch in its mouth would first have drowned, and it froze into the ice with its head raised above the frozen water, just as the swimming fox did not have time to submerge, as it froze into the ice. Apparently, the surface of the lakes froze instantly, freezing a pike and a fox into the ice.

And after 14 years he is found frozen in an iceberg off the coast of Greenland.
We are used to the fact that icebergs are born as a result of breaking off pieces of ice from a continental glacier. And here we can turn to the facts of the instantaneous freezing of water when we see the "statue" of a wave splash, with fish frozen into the wave. We can see a fox turned into ice while running on the ice of the lake. Pike with a perch in the mouth. "Octavius" hitting the area of instant freezing together with the water surrounding it and the wave of water falling on the ship instantly turned into ice. Glaciation is not new to ships in northern latitudes during a storm. Even modern ships can even capsize from such a load on the upper deck. And "Octavius", apparently from such a load, sagged down, and thus received new portions and floors of ice. Perhaps he rolled over from his head … or rather, masts down, then masts up again, like many icebergs. All this shows on the presence in nature of the effect of the "Gorgon" (more precisely Medus, ancient Greek Μέδουσα - "protector, mistress") - the most famous of the three sisters of the Gorgons, a monster with a woman's face and snakes instead of hair. Even the severed head of the only mortal of the three gorgons, "decorated with hydras", simplified with snakes instead of hair, was capable of killing all living beings who looked at her. With the help of such a head, Perseus killed the dragon and turned the whole army of the king to stone and defeated his enemies many times. Medusa was known in ancient Russia. But did the myths of the Gorgon effect only exist in Russia? Many people know the story of an English navigator who, having heard the stories of Russian merchants who sailed to England for trade, set off on a journey on two ships to open the way to Arkhangelsk for England. He found the way to Arkhangelsk,but lost one of the two ships in the Cold Sea.
