Angus Palmes, 13, from the UK looks like a small child due to a rare chromosomal abnormality. At birth, he seemed completely normal, but at three years old he simply stopped growing. Doctors believe that this is the only case of such an anomaly in all seven billion people.
When Angus Palmes was born, he weighed 2.9 kilograms. Now, 13 years later, his weight is just over 13 kilograms - this is the lower limit of the norm for a three-year-old child.
Angus's face also remained childish, and it's hard to believe that he has already entered adolescence. Doctors discovered the boy's chromosomal abnormality when he was only three weeks old.
“The geneticists said they had no records of similar anomalies. There are several people with similar problems, but they are still different from Angus, says Tandi, Angus's mom.
Unfortunately, the rarest chromosomal abnormality affected not only the appearance of Angus - he cannot walk or talk, and also experiences serious heart and stomach problems.
Angus Tandi's mother says that her son underwent 40 operations, overcame meningitis and had to take 250 doses of medication a week. Despite this, he remains a sunny and smiling young man and even developed his own gesture system to interact with people.

Tandi admits that sometimes Angus does show signs of psychological problems. At such moments, he tries to harm himself, strikes his own hands and leaves big bruises.
And yet, most of the time, Angus is in control and even attends a special school. He loves swimming and often listens to hard rock with his older brother. Doctors do not know how long Angus will live, and his family does not make plans for the future, but rejoices every day spent with him.
“We have no plan, we don’t even know what Angus can do after school. But we know for sure that he is a happy child who infects others with his optimism.
