Brock Brown, 22, from Michigan, has grown to 7 feet 9 inches (240 cm) and was named "the tallest teenager in the world" a few years ago.
Brock has congenital Sotos syndrome, a genetic disorder also known as cerebral gigantism.
When Brock was a child and went to kindergarten, his height was already over 153 cm. Now, due to his abnormal growth, Brock orders clothes from a tailor and sleeps in a specially made bed 250 cm long. He also has a specially made for his height armchair.
Because of his gigantism, Brock is not just very tall, he is also very voluminous. He also has diabetes and finds it difficult to walk a lot.
However, Brock does not want to spend his life just as an unusual person, he dreams of opening his own restaurant one day. He recently landed another dream job at the YMCA Sports Center.
As a teenager, Brock grew at an astonishing 6 inches a year, and by the time he entered high school he was 7 feet (213 cm) tall.

Sotos syndrome means a mutation in the NSD1 gene that causes a person to keep growing. Brock is still growing slowly every year and nobody knows when it will stop.
Due to the same Sotos syndrome, Brock has only one kidney, curvature of the spine and narrowing of the spinal cord. Therefore, Brock suffers almost constantly from incessant pain, but he does not want to live like a disabled person on pills.
Due to medical problems, it was impossible for him to find a normal job, but he had long dreamed of working in a sports organization and finally he was taken to such a center. True, he works there only once a week on Saturdays.
Brock's job is to screen and assign children to sport classes. Brock's boss Megan Hunt is very pleased with his efforts.
Children and adults alike quickly fell in love with the unusual employee and he became even more famous in his district. Many people, coming to the center for the first time, immediately recognize it and say “Oh, you are that giant from the TV!”.
Brock is constantly slouching and his spine hurts all the time. It is also very difficult for him to straighten his knees. It doesn't fit in movie theater seats, car seats, and many other places. But he never complains. Brock Brown's Facebook page has more than 18,000 subscribers.
