The cave and its inhabitants
The famous Denisovskaya Cave has been stirring the minds of the entire scientific community for a long time. Back in 2008, scientists uncovered a layer of soil, which reflects the events taking place about 40-50 thousand years ago. And in this layer a phalanx of a finger was found.
Archaeologists sent their find to Leipzig, where scientists made a complex of surveys and made a verdict that this bone does not belong to Homo sapiens, and also has nothing to do with Homo neanderthalensis. Therefore, the new species of man was named Denisovsky and this is undoubtedly a grandiose event.
Artifact
Further deciphering of the genome made it possible to assert that most likely he could not even speak and was not entirely "intelligent". But the subsequent finds of artifacts forced to radically reconsider this statement.
Among the many bone needles and cases for them, archaeologists managed to find a bracelet made of chloritolite.

It was split into two pieces. During the restoration, it turned out that the width of the bracelet is 2, 7 centimeters, the thickness is about a centimeter, and the diameter is only 7 centimeters.
The material from which the bracelet was made was surprising, because chloritolite is an extremely fragile material.
Several holes were also found in the product, which were drilled. Moreover, a strap with an ornament was inserted into one of them, since there were characteristic traces of abrasion of the mineral on it. Drilling an object 40 00 years ago is already a sensation, because the nearest artifact with a similar processing technology dates back 10 000 years ago. And this fragment of the past is 30,000 years older.
Since the bracelet had a very small diameter, it was assumed that it was detachable. Another unique property of the artifact was also discovered, it changes color. In daylight, it has a reflective surface, and in the light of a fire, it becomes dull with a dark green tint.
Scientists set up an experiment, collected tools that the ancient Denisovets could use to make this decoration and tried to repeat it. They did it with great difficulty.
Another mysterious circumstance is the fact that the mineral from which the bracelet is made is found only 200 kilometers from the cave. And how it was delivered is unknown, because then there were no wandering merchants at all.
This find is a unique evidence that the Denisovsky man had a high cultural and spiritual upbringing, which is not typical for semi-intelligent animals. And this means that human history is much older than previously thought.
