“I don't know what it was, maybe an astral journey, or a vision, or a manifestation of sleep paralysis, or something else entirely. I was in my early thirties then and this was the beginning of the 2000s.
My wife and I went hiking that day in the Daniel Boone Nat'l Forest in Kentucky, and after a long day on the trail we finally stopped for the night.
We quickly fell asleep in the tent, but at about 3 or 4 am I had a surprisingly vivid dream that I never saw again. At the same time, I realized that this was a dream, that I was actually lying in a tent, and my wife was sleeping next to me, that is, it was something like a lucid dream.
When it started, I seemed to soar over my body. I saw our tent from above, I saw the fire that we kindled, I saw the hiking trail, and somewhere in the far north our car was in the parking lot.
And suddenly the geography of this place was dramatically transformed, but I guessed that this is the same place, but much earlier in time. Or maybe it was the opposite, it was the future. In any case, our tent was gone, and so was the trail. And the dense forest with bushy thickets turned into a hilly area with sparsely standing trees.
Somewhere far away on one of the hills I made out two luminous human figures and I somehow realized that they were two men. And I also understood that they are not here and now, but in the past (or future).
Promotional video:
The figures were so far away from me that I could not distinguish any details of their appearance, but suddenly in an instant I sharply approached them at a distance of only a few steps.
Their faces were luminous and with indistinct features, and then one stretched out his hand to the right of me and, pointing somewhere into the distance, said the unexpected phrase "Do you want to see a dead body?" It was shockingly creepy to me.
Almost immediately after that, I again realized myself asleep in the tent next to my wife, while the strange dream continued, although I felt myself lying on my back. My vision was normal again, I saw my legs and chest in a normal perspective.
But next to me was one of those two luminous figures that I saw on the hill. And this luminous body began to fit into my sleeping bag, as if merging with me. Legs first, then the rest of the body. It entered me like a foot in a sock and I could only watch with horror.
When it filled me completely, my body shuddered with a painful and violent convulsion. It was not at all like a dream, everything seemed frighteningly real.
My body arched, with only my heels, shoulders and neck touching the ground. I wanted to scream "Get out," but my lungs and chest did not obey me and I almost suffocated. I was forced to start breathing in very small breaths and breaths, until finally the spasm released my lungs and I finally shouted "Enough!"
And everything stopped at once. There were no spasms, no sensation of a glowing body inside me. I could no longer fall asleep and lay until soon the incoming sun appeared on the horizon.
For the next three days, I experienced ailments all over my body. My muscles ached a lot, especially in my torso, as if I had done push-ups a thousand times. The voice also suffered and all these days I could not speak loudly.
It is possible that it was just an unusual manifestation of sleep paralysis, but later deliberation led me to the conclusion. that it was most likely an astral journey. And it is possible that while my soul was flying, my body was trying to occupy someone else's astral body."
