At the same time, men are better at remembering spatial information, for example, it will be easier for them to find their way to an abandoned car.
The researchers made their conclusions after examining the results of more than 600 scientific papers by other authors, which affected 1.2 million people and were carried out over the past 40 years.
In 2016, American scientists found that the memory of middle-aged women is better than that of men, but after menopause it worsens. Numerous scientific studies have shown that the aging process is accompanied by cognitive decline. About 75 percent of older adults report problems with their ability to remember. So, many women complain that after menopause they suffer from forgetfulness. At the same time, the weaker sex is more prone to neurodegenerative diseases, dementia and other cognitive impairments.
