However, it is not known how pregnancy will proceed in the conditions of Mars, writes the information resource ToDay News Ufa, according to which, the researchers who are planning the development of Mars have serious concerns about this.
“Flies can reproduce even in zero gravity. But mice have some difficulties. Humans, however, are much more advanced creatures than flies or mice, so weightlessness, like the low gravity of Mars, will not prevent them from reproducing. But this is if we talk directly about the process of conception. As for bearing a child, there can be truly insurmountable difficulties,”the experts argue.
In general, all the bright prospects for the colonization of the Red Planet can crash against the cruel reality in which women are unlikely to be able to give birth to healthy children in the conditions of Mars. However, scientists are confident that in the future this problem can be solved.
