Robots are slowly but very tightly entering our lives. They work for people in factories, eliminate the consequences of disasters, when something threatens the life of rescuers, they work as nannies and even consultants on various issues. Many experts believe that sooner or later robots for sexual pleasures will appear - it's only a matter of time. And according to a social survey conducted by the American research company YouGov, about a quarter of American males are ready to have sexual intercourse with a robot now.
49% of American adults agree that sex robots will be freely available in consumer electronics stores in the next 50 years. People of the future will take this completely calmly. This theory is also supported by the famous futurist Jan Pearsen, famous for the fact that 85% of his predictions are accurate. He is confident that by 2050, sex robots will be widespread in our world. A similar vision is often portrayed in works of art. For example, in the Swedish television series Real People or in the upcoming video game Detroit: Become Human.
According to a poll by YouGov, not all Americans are ready for such a future. For example, only 9% of women are ready for sexual contact with a robot. Men are much more open to such experiments. 24% of the stronger sex agree to have sex with a car. If we take the summary statistics for both sexes, 16% of the US population is ready for relationships with artificial lovers. Also, many respondents are concerned about the question of whether sex with a robot in the presence of a real partner is considered an act of treason? Cheating sex with a car is considered by 36% of women and 29% of men.
For 52% of survey participants who agree to have sex with robots, the appearance of the machine is the most important factor in making a decision. Most often, respondents admitted that a robot should resemble a living, real person. However, Americans are not entirely sure that sexual intercourse with a machine can satisfy their emotional needs, however, they also doubt that it is possible to establish normal human relations with a robot.
