Japanese researchers have developed technology that is capable of implanting false visions in the brains of people. This trick changes the view of the world, and potentially even the way of thinking. Describing their methodology in the journal Current Biology, the scientists emphasized that they managed to "penetrate" the minds of the wards without actively interacting with their thoughts.
A simple exercise with great potential
How does memory work?
Scientists did not give any guidelines regarding the regulation of mental activity, and each participant was given complete freedom of expression. Each had their own unique thoughts when completing a task. At first, none of them reported that they imagined red. However, after more than 500 repetitions of the test over three days, the volunteers got the gist and began to regulate their own mental functioning. And now, when they looked at the black lines, the activity in their primary and secondary visual areas of the brain resembled patterns associated with the perception of red.
